Did you know Rare Disease Day is observed on the last day of February each year?

This year, UDESPA is proud to take part in an awareness campaign to help shine a light on the rare disease community. Follow along with us this week for facts and updates, and join us in solidarity on Friday by Showing Your Stripes! Wear stripes to school to help raise awareness.

Fact of the Day:
1 in 10 Americans is living with a rare disease—that’s more than 30 million of our loved ones, friends, colleagues, and neighbors.

As workers and neighbors, we know that when times get tough, we take care of each other.

With the holidays near and a government shutdown straining families across our community, UDESPA is proud to show our support through a donation to Murphy’s Giving Market, founded by Desiree Murphy Morrissey, President of the Upper Darby School Board.

Murphy’s Giving Market is open to anyone in need, a true example of solidarity in action right here in Upper Darby. They’re also willing to work with families beyond their posted hours to make sure no one goes without.
