As we prepare for the 2026-2027 school year, the Weakley County Backpack Program is gearing up to ensure our students have the food they need. We invite you to join us on the first Tuesday of every month at 12:00 PM at 490 Morrow Street Dresden, TN. Please add these packing dates to your calendar, and share with your friends, family, and coworkers—all volunteers are welcome!

Today’s Rotary meeting program was presented by David Campbell talking about high school basketball games from the days of old to include one particular game that set a record for having nine overtimes. That program led to discussion about current high school basketball rules, particularly related to the lack of a shot clock. This post is made as an update to today’s program for Club members interested.

A 35-second shot clock will be added to TSSAA basketball games after a Board of Control vote on June 9. See link below ⬇️

CONGRATULATIONS to our 2026 Miss Dresden Abigail Kibbler and 1st Maid Peyton McMackin! Both of these outstanding ladies will be graduating from Dresden High School tonight.

We wish you, and all of the graduates, the best in your future endeavors! May you go far in life, but always remember that Dresden is home.
