The UDS extends a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Jennifer Williams Dressage for the amazing clinic she taught this past weekend and a second MASSIVE THANK YOU to Leslie Edison and Winter Farms for hosting it!

Jennifer not only taught phenomenal, auditor-friendly sessions but she offered two scholarships specifically to junior/young riders to help develop the future of our sport, selecting Rhyan Andersen and Amelia McCandless for these incredible opportunities. Rhyan and Millie were wonderful representatives of our sport and the amazing riding happening here in Utah. The future is bright, my friends!

Have you submitted volunteer hours so that we can consider you for year-end awards? If not, now is a great time to do it!

🚨 SAVE THE DATE: 2027 New Test Clinic 🚨

The UDS will be bringing USDF S judges Dolly Hannon and Teresa Stewart for a new test clinic, hosted at Sage Creek Equestrian, on Jan 9-10, 2027.

The judges will offer a lectures on the new tests and what the judges hope to see from the sequence of movements. We will have a series of demo riders complete each of the tests, and the riders and clinic participants will receive feedback from the judges on what they saw and what they hoped to see, as well as tips on how to approach the test more successfully.

Please note that this is a save the date only. We have not yet opened this clinic to registration or put out a call for demo riders, but we will do both as the date draws closer.

Interested in joining the UDS board? Election time is around the corner! This year, the Vice President, Treasurer, Director of Competitions, Director of Communications, and Director of Education positions will open (term to run 2027-2029).

All current board members up for election are planning to run for an additional term with the exception of our treasurer. We would love someone with experience with tax filing and spreadsheet management.

If you are interested in running for any of the open positions, or if you would like to nominate someone whom you think would be a great addition and who is willing to serve, you can find the nomination form here:
