"Inclusion makes us feel safe and valued."

That's Ashley's message.

When people are included, communities grow stronger. Friendships are built. Opportunities expand. And everyone benefits.

Listen as Ashley shares what inclusion means to herβ€”and why creating a place where everyone belongs matters.

πŸ’™ Monday Motivation πŸ’™

Last week, three of our incredible Athlete Leaders β€” Trey, Natalie, and Lauren β€” spent time with the Granite Transition Program sharing the power of Special Olympics Utah, leadership, inclusion, and all the opportunities available through our movement.

After their presentation, everyone had a chance to join in the fun with a game of SOUT Bingo (and let's just say our athlete leaders were absolute rock stars! πŸ™Œ).

And then? They packed their bags and headed to Cedar City to compete at the 2026 Special Olympics Utah Summer Games!

From leading in the classroom to competing on the field of play, these athletes continue to show what leadership looks like in action.

And that’s a wrap on the 2026 Special Olympics Utah Summer Games.

Three incredible days.

Hundreds of athletes.

Countless volunteers, coaches, families, Law Enforcement Torch Run members, partners, and fans.

From the excitement of Opening Ceremonies and the Final Leg, to personal bests on the track, moments of teamwork on the field, new friendships, celebrations, medals, hugs, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetimeβ€”Summer Games reminded us what inclusion looks like in action.

Thank you to our athletes for inspiring us.

Thank you to our coaches and families for your dedication.

Thank you to our volunteers, officials, Law Enforcement Torch Run members, Southern Utah University, and our friends at the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games for helping create an unforgettable experience.

Most of all, thank you for celebrating athletes of ALL abilities.

Until next year, Utah!
