🇹🇷📚 A little taste of İstanbul in Park City!

How wonderful to see award-winning Turkish cookbook author and chef Özlem Warren visiting Dolly’s Bookstore in Park City with her newest cookbook, İstanbul: Delicious Recipes from the Heart of the City!

It was also lovely to see Elif Ekin, owner of Kahve Cafe Kahve Cafe in Salt Lake City, joining Özlem during her visit! ❤️

Through her recipes and stories, Özlem shares the rich culinary traditions of Türkiye, bringing a little piece of İstanbul to readers around the world.

At UTAA, we love seeing these connections and celebrating the people who keep Turkish culture and traditions alive, both here in Utah and beyond.

Join the Utah Turkish American Association as we come together to celebrate the 103rd Anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye with an evening of community, culture, food, music, and dance.

30 Ağustos 1922’de kazanılan Büyük Zafer, milletimizin bağımsızlık iradesini tüm dünyaya ilan etti; egemenliğimizi güvence altına aldı ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin temellerini attı.

Başta Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk ve silah arkadaşları olmak üzere, bağımsızlığımız uğruna mücadele eden tüm kahramanlarımızı saygı, minnet ve özlemle anıyoruz.

The Great Victory of August 30, 1922, declared our nation’s determination for independence to the world, secured Türkiye’s sovereignty, and laid the foundations of the Republic of Türkiye.

We honor Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms, and all the heroes who fought for our independence with profound respect and gratitude.

Today, we proudly celebrate May 19th — the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day in Türkiye. 🇹🇷

On this historic day in 1919, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk began the journey toward independence by landing in Samsun, entrusting the future of the Republic to the youth.

May 19th is a reminder of courage, resilience, hope, and the power of young generations to shape a brighter future.

As UTAA, we honor Atatürk’s vision and celebrate the spirit, energy, and dreams of Turkish youth everywhere.
