Over the past 8 successful years, we've been able to raise over $50,000 to the Justin Brace ALS Fund. Before understanding what this tournament is, you must know what it is about, and that is Justin Brace. Justin grew up in Dracut, Massachusetts and graduated from Dracut High School in 2001. In high school, he played varsity hockey and was a talented athlete. Tragically, four years out of high sch
ool, Justin was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). At the age of 22, Justin became one of the youngest people in the world to have this debilitating disease. As the disease has manifested itself, Justin’s physical functionality and motor skills have become severely compromised. Today, Justin relies fully on the care of his family and others. The constant care he needs is physically and mentally demanding and exhausting on his family, but is also financially taxing. The Justin Brace ALS Softball Tournament was created in order for the small town community of Dracut, to come together and raise money to help one of its own citizens in need. Due to the tremendous community response and willingness to help, over $20,000 has been donated to the Justin Brace ALS Fund.
