Students are on our minds!

We are now in our nomination period for The Boomerang Youth Recognition Program. This program is open to K-12 students in Eastern PA.

We look to teachers, parents, coaches and support staff to nominate. In 200 words or less, tell us how your young person embodies one of the following Assets:

✨Integrity
✨Cultural Competence
✨Personal Power
✨Reading for Pleasure (paper, or audio!)
✨Bonding to School
✨School Engagement

This program is for all walks of life! High Achievers, Bubble Students, The Quiet Leaders that don't always go for the spotlight... We want to hear about them all!

Every student receives recognition through certificates, with some being chosen to receive public recognition by local representatives and BC Cares in late May!

Every student also receives from us a voucher they can keep to request a letter of recommendation for their young future endeavors.

Lastly, every student nominated for Boomerang, past or present is eligible for the Boomerang Scholarship Program when they come of age (graduating seniors), which opens for applicants in April.

****Please note that our nomination and recognition process can be handled as privately as needed based on the requests of families in direct response to the current struggles our communities' face.

Please accept our invitation to attend and participate in the YWCA Bucks County presents, Tony Porter, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of A CALL TO MEN, on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 9:30 am – Noon at Bucks County Community College. Porter is recognized in the US and internationally for his dedication and commitment to advancing gender and social justice initiatives and his efforts to prevent violence against women and girls.

While everyone is welcome to attend, we strongly encourage adult men, male-identified individuals, and young men to participate in the dialogue exchange with Porter on the importance of men's integral role in creating a world where women and girls feel valued, respected, and safe.

Hey teachers, parents and mentors! 🗣️

Looking for a way to get your students engaged in this winter season? We highly recommend incentivizing them to attend the 16th Annual MLK Summit honoring the work of Dr. King.

This year, the theme is Living the Dream: Stories that Inspire, Voices that Unite.

Challenge your students to attend and bring takeaways back to class for inspiring discussion points. Challenge your family to attend together to celebrate Inspiration and Unity. We are living through a historic period right now. This summit provides the kind content we need!

Open to 7-12 graders and adults, event is Sunday, January 18, 2026.

Registration is required: https://thepeacecenter.org/events/2026-mlk-teen-peace-social-justice-summit/

A little team building on a cold, snowy evening with a guest appearance from Mrs. Claus, over $400 raised by our Youth Council for a Christmas Cheer Basket given to a selected family through the Bucks County Opportunity Council, including a tree from Stout Farms!

We also went out to Levittown to see the pretty winter scenes of their sleepy garden and discuss expansion plans!
