Bucks County Food Runners We intend to be that link between edible food supplies and the agencies that serve those families who need help finding their next meal.

Who We Are
Bucks County Food Runners is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, volunteer organization established in 2015. We serve those classified as “food insecure” in Bucks/Montgomery/Philadelphia Counties, PA and Mercer County, NJ, by gleaning safe, fresh, edible food that would otherwise be discarded by restaurants and other food production establishments. We deliver it to shelters, soup kitchens, food p

antries, and other agencies. Our Mission
To serve as the conduit between restaurants and the food insecure, redirecting edible food destined to be discarded to social services agencies that provide food to those in need. Our Vision
Food security in Bucks County, PA and beyond.

Just a quick FYI that we will be Rising Against Hunger on Saturday September 14 at 10am at DUMC this year. I'll send out more info as we get closer and the registration/donation web site is up. If you like to pack meals to battle hunger, you have been given ample notice so keep 9/14 open on your calendar!

Sending out a HUGE Thank you to:
==> All of our partner food distribution organizations -- pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, churches, schools -- who provide food to those in need;
==> All of our donor restaurants and stores for donating the food we deliver;
==> All of the individuals and businesses who donate to our cause financially, which allows Bucks County Food Runners to help some of our FDO partners buy freezers, refrigeration, and food;
==> And last but not least a BIG THANK YOU to all of our Food Runners -- volunteers who donate their time and resources to pick up and deliver the food to the proper FDO safely and on time.

Thank you all for putting others first!

This country, this State, this county have vast resources, we are the richest country in the world. Hopefully one day, we as a nation can somehow come up with a plan to deal with hunger and food insecurity in this country. There is no reason ANYONE living in the USA should go to bed hungry or send their children to school hungry. Yet, our leaders in this country seem focused on other issues and have a blind spot for food insecurity. This is a shame.
