This is a GREAT cause, supported by GREAT people at a GREAT location. Honor and Courage provides PTSD counseling and su***de prevention services to US Military Veterans and First Responders. The FUGE is the site of the 180 ton centrifuge used to train USA’s FIRST ASTRONAUTS in mastering the impact of centrifical force. Come on out for an early Valentines Date and help a GREAT organization.

660 Veterans take their own lives EVERY MONTH. Flags For Fallen Veterans Project plants 660 flags at various locations in Bucks and surrounding counties to bring attention to and hopefully help to reduce/end this TRAGIC problem.

The Guardians of The National Cemetery @ Washingtons Crossing PA is holding a fundraiser TOMORROW at the Green Parrot in Newtown PA. The group needs to replace an aging passenger van required to transport members around the cemetery as well as to events in the surrounding communities.

Today, 7 August is Purple Heart Day. The Purple Heart is the nation’s oldest military award. It was authorized by then General George Washington and was awarded for exemplary service in the line of duty. The scope of the medal has evolved to honor ONLY those military personnel WOUNDED IN ACTION/COMBAT. Purple Heart warriors are special people. They have shed their blood mostly “…in countries they didn’t know for people they had never met …..(from the National Korean War Memorial).”
Please take a moment during your day today and reflect on the sacrifices that these brave men and women have made.
