Do you enjoy singing in a crowd? With a loved one? Check out this FIRST TIME event organized by the Bucks County Choral Society!

To commemorate America's 250th birthday, Bucks County Choral Society will be holding our first-ever outdoor Big Sing on Saturday, May 30, 4:00 at the Broad Commons Park in Doylestown. If you've ever belted out a song in the car and wish you had a choir behind you, now is your chance! Grammy-nominated artist, Moira Smiley, will lead us through an afternoon of music-making that is as fun as it is freeing.

This is a musical gathering where no preparation is required and every voice is welcome. Moira will guide the group through simple vocal games, catchy songs, and gorgeous harmonies. Whether you want to lift your voice in song or simply sit back and listen, there is a place for you.

All ages, all levels, and all voices are welcome. Join us for our biggest community singing event yet. You will be amazed at the sound we can create together!

This is a pay-as-you-wish event where no tickets are necessary. We do request that you register for the event so we can send you the songs and lyrics (via email) and alert you as to a venue change in case of inclement weather.

PDA has announced the launch of the Resilient Environments in Aging and Dementia in Your Communities (READY Communities) Funding Collaborative. READY Communities is a first-of-its-kind public-philanthropic pilot program to support the implementation of Aging Our Way, PA, the Commonwealth’s 10-year strategic plan for aging.

The 2026 READY Communities grant application opened May 4, and will be open through June 12. Projects should align with at least one priority from Aging Our Way, PA, and support older adults and/or people living with dementia.

The Department is proud to sponsor this innovative funding project, and we hope to receive applications from a wide range of projects covering diverse sectors, from transportation and planning to agriculture and outdoor recreation and beyond.
