This year marks Bucks County Free Library’s 70th anniversary. Over the past few months, we have featured all seven of our branches here on social media, sharing each library's unique story. This month we spotlight our outreach services, sometimes viewed as the "eighth branch."
Outreach has long been an integral part of library service. Over the years, BCFL has driven a range of bookmobiles, reaching community members outside the walls of the library.
Today, our Outreach Services vehicle visits all corners of Bucks, where it visits local farmers' markets and community events, holds pop-up storytimes at a variety of parks, and registers people for new library cards! The vehicle features shelves that hold books and giveaways in addition to a large TV screen that showcases digital library resources.
Be sure to look for us out on the road!
We are proud to serve the Bucks County community for seven decades and counting in the library — and outside of it.
