At Maxkalaniyat Garden we acknowledge the sacred lands we steward are of the Lenape people and we are living on Lenapehoking. We acknowledge our indigenous Taino ~ Arawak roots that make up our boricua lineage.

May we come back to honoring the true history of turtle islands indigenous peoples. When we take accountability that is how we heal. When we forgive that is how we heal.
We heal so we can thrive and build a powerful future for the generations to come and this beautiful earth!

Embracing Abundance with Gratitude

Every day, the universe showers us with countless gifts and blessings that we haven’t even asked for. From the air we breathe, to the people who love us, to the beauty of nature that surrounds us - these are all incredible miracles that we receive without ever expecting them. When we take a moment to pause and really reflect on the abundance in our lives, it fills our hearts with immense gratitude. Even on our most difficult days, there are always glimmers of light and hope, little signs from the universe that we are supported and watched over. The more we focus on appreciating these blessings, the more we start to notice them everywhere. Life itself is the ultimate gift, and being able to wake up each morning and experience it is something to be endlessly thankful for. So today and every day, let us remember to thank the Creator/God/Spirit for its unending generosity, and for all the love, joy, and wonder it constantly sends our way - without us ever even having to ask. 🫶🏽🪶🙏🏽

This garden is a blessing. Truly a medicine garden in so many ways.
This year we witnessed the land wanting to be wild. Wanting to share its stories through wispy tails and wild grasses. Typically unwanted or the othered plants that get ripped out found their home in our garden. It’s been really interesting to witness. Very soothing to the soul to know all the life that is living amongst these plants .
Giving deep gratitude to the earth , ATABEY , and her forever support and abundant blessings. May we continue to listen to Mother Earth , to these lands we steward . She is sentient and knows what she needs to thrive. Mother Earth is just waiting for us to listen. 🙏🏼🪶🌞❤️‍🔥🦋🍃
