Thank you to everyone who donated to our virtual Toy Drive! 💙💚

This time of year can be especially challenging for many families, ours included, which makes us even more thankful to have had the opportunity to partner with to be able to give back and bring some positivity to children and their families this holiday season.

This was our very first toy drive, and we are beyond grateful for the incredible support we received! Because of all of you, we were able to donate over 30 toys and games to the Stanford Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, CA, along with a $500 monetary donation to the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to host a virtual toy drive this holiday season in partnership with PinoPino Plush—a family-owned small business that is so close to our hearts.

is owned and ran by Jon L’s cousins (and best friends) and Jon R’s auntie and uncle (and godparents). They played a huge role in helping us create our organization as well, and continue to be a steady, loving force behind Jon’s Garage. We truly would not be where we are today without them 💕

Their story—the heart, dedication, and dream behind PinoPino Plush—is so inspiring. Jon R absolutely adored his Pino dolls and always called them his babies 💙💚

This time of year is especially difficult for our family. As Christmas approaches, we ask that you keep us, and all families navigating loss or hardship, close to your hearts. While the season is heavy, we find comfort in giving back. Through this toy drive, we’re able to bring joy to local children’s hospitals in the Bay Area, all in honor and loving memory of both Jon L and Jon R.

This year, Jon's Garage and PinoPino Plush are teaming up to bring a little extra joy to very deserving kids. We're hosting a virtual toy drive to be able to give to local children’s hospitals in the Bay Area—including Stanford Children’s Hospital and UCSF Children’s Hospital—now through December 11th, 2025.

This initiative is incredibly meaningful and hits close to home for us, and we’re inviting our entire community to help bring joy, comfort, and a bit of holiday magic to kids who truly deserve it.

🏎 Jon’s Garage Mustang Restoration Fundraiser! 🏁

We’re excited to launch a heartfelt initiative to honor the memory of Jon L. by restoring a Mustang, just like the one he owned and loved.

This special project will serve as a rolling tribute to Jon’s legacy, showcased at car shows and community events for years to come.

We’re proud to partner with the Las Positas College Automotive Technology Program where Jon was a student, and have the restoration be completed by LPC students, giving them valuable hands-on experience while celebrating Jon’s life and his love for all things automotive.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward purchasing the Mustang and covering the restoration costs. Your support will help bring this meaningful tribute to life.

A special thank you to the LPC Auto Program and James —one of Jon’s favorite teachers—for supporting both Jon, and now his nephew, Jon R. Great teachers leave a lasting impact and Jon looked forward to every class, not just for the cars but for the chance to learn from someone he deeply admired.

We're hosting a fundraiser for Sharks 4 Kids!
Honoring Jon R.'s Love for Sharks 💙🦈

We're teaming up with to raise funds for their Project Lemon Aid—supporting conservation of Lemon sharks at sites around the Turks and Caicos Islands!

Jon had a deep love for sharks. He loved to read his big shark book and name all the sharks in it, and always brought his shark toys with him anywhere he went. We’re running this fundraiser in the hopes of honoring his passion by helping others—especially kids—learn to love and protect sharks.

🏁 Jon’s Garage cars are officially in the wild! 🏁

A big thank you to all of our friends and family that participated in our launch this weekend by donating to sponsor cars and placing them in their local areas to get our Wheels in the Wild program started! Your love and support helped make this program possible, and thanks to all of you, there are now over 150 cars placed for families to discover!

We have already had some discoveries shared with us from places like Morgan Hill, Rancho Cordova, Tracy and more! It really means the world to us to know people are enjoying finding these cars, and moving them to new locations to keep their road trips going!

We’d also like to thank everyone that has donated, shared our launch posts with your connections, and visited our website so far. The amount of love and encouragement we have received has been so heartwarming and so appreciated 💚💙

🚗✨ Introducing Jon’s Garage ✨🚗

Our family would like to announce the official launch of Jon’s Garage, a nonprofit organization created in loving memory of Jon Louis Gullette and Jon Rafael Romero.

Our family lost Jon Louis in 2018, and then his namesake and nephew, Jon Rafael in 2024.

Our goal is to honor Jon L. and Jon R.’s love for cars by leaving Hot Wheel cars (their favorite) for kids & families to find & discover, and encourage those families to keep it going for more people to find and continue the car’s journey. We’re calling this program “Wheels in the Wild”.

Why Hot Wheels?
Both Jons shared a deep love for cars. Their Hot Wheels collections were massive, and their excitement for anything car-related was contagious. That’s why Jon’s Garage is all about sharing that joy with the world—one Hot Wheels car at a time.

Our hope is for families to happen upon a Hot Wheels car from Jon’s Garage in a park, on a sidewalk, or tucked away somewhere magical—left behind for a child or family to discover. Every car will carry a piece of Jon L. and Jon R.’s vibrant spirit—meant to spark a smile, ignite imagination, and spread love, just like they did.
