Looks like we’re in for a rainy day on Thursday, but we will meet rain or shine. The studio will be open, refreshments will be served, and much of the gardens can be viewed from inside the house. Hope to see you for this fun meeting.

Our next community Fathom meeting is Thursday, September 10th at 5:30 PM at the home of Fathom member Sue King, 417 Madison Avenue, Lancaster, Ohio. There is plenty of on-street parking available. The theme of the meeting is The Garden as Art and Inspiration. Refreshments will be served, the studio and gardens will be open, and drawing materials will be provided for those who would like to sketch in the garden. As always, new members are welcome.

Ha! I was so excited to take the Hands Up photo of the Fathom drawing class, but lighting was making the drawings not visible 😅 The Fathom drawing class was successful and fun! I was so happy with everyone's hands and homework from last week. What a fabulous group!

I bought all this for $108! That's what you call making the most of the Micheal's sale as a printmaker!

One benefit of being a member of Fathom Arts Consortium here in Lancaster, Ohio is that some of our meetings are dedicated to playing with new media. A couple of months ago we experimented with ceramic art, courtesy of Theresa at Mud Gallery. I made components for a ceramic wind chime. Yesterday I finally strung the ones I made, some Theresa made, along with some glass beads. All were mounted on a piece of driftwood gathered in Wyoming, and it’s now hanging in my garden like a string of jewels. Are you an artist? Maybe think about joining our group.
