Watch our Keola Junior boys take on their 1st 18 mile Long distance race from Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park back to the King Kamehameha Hotel in Kailua Kona......

Race for them starts about 1130. But due to the effects of Hurricane Lowell things are moving safely.

Here is our Aug 13, 2026 Update: All the patches are in and Uncle sanded and shaped the bottom of Iwalani.

Summer season is about so much more than winning—it is about ʻohana, legacy, history, and remembering our Hawaiian roots. For those who are not Hawaiian, it is an opportunity to learn, respect, and embrace the beauty of the Hawaiian culture.

It is about building relationships, growing together, supporting one another, and becoming one strong team. Medals may eventually tarnish or become lost, but the memories we create and the bonds we build will last forever.

Keola O Ke Kai is more than a canoe club. We are an ʻohana—and that is what we will always be about. 💙🌊
