For 33 years, Lt. Boggs has proudly served the City of Greenville, earning a reputation built on bravery, dedication, and true professionalism. His heroic actions have been recognized time and time again, and those who’ve worked beside him know him as a steady hand, a trusted mentor, and a leader in every sense of the word. His legacy will carry on long after he hangs up his helmet.
His calm presence on the most chaotic scenes, his unwavering commitment to doing what’s right, and his constant willingness to serve others have set the standard for what it means to wear this uniform. Generations of firefighters have learned from his example, not just how to fight fires, but how to treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect.
From mentoring new recruits to supporting his brothers and sisters through the toughest calls, Lt. Boggs has always put his crew and his community first. The stories of lives changed and lives saved because of his dedication will be told for years to come.
As he soon will step into a well-earned retirement, we don’t just say “thank you” for 33 years of service, we honor a career defined by courage, integrity, and heart. Congratulations, Lt. Boggs.
