ICYMI: Last week, a baby boy was safely surrendered under Daniel’s Law, South Carolina’s Safe Haven for Abandoned Babies Act, at HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital in Dorchester County. He is the eleventh Daniel’s Law baby surrendered in the Palmetto State this year.

It is painfully obvious that taxpayer dollars should not be used to fund abortions. On the 50th anniversary of the Hyde Amendment, I am grateful that our nation has remained committed to protecting taxpayers from being forced to subsidize abortion, and I will continue to do whatever I can to safeguard life at every opportunity.
