BREAKING: Senator Darline Graham was asked today if she would support a ban on abortion at conception. Her response? “I don’t know. Let me think about it.” This, in addition to her donation to Former State Senator Katrina Shealy, is severely disqualifying.

Pro-Life Greenville affirms the scientific fact that new human life begins at the moment of fertilization and we believe that all human beings have a right to life. The position held on the issue of protecting innocent human life is not something that our next U.S. Senator should be unsure about.

While some other groups may choose to endorse candidates who are supported by a certain (presidential) individual for their own political gain, we will always endorse the most anti-abortion candidate in a race. That's the commitment we've made for preborn children who can't speak for themselves. We will always put principles over politics.

A national pro-life organization has endorsed Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., in South Carolina's closely watched Senate primary to replace the late Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins announced the group's endorsement Monday, portraying Norman as a proven pro-life conservative as he heads into an Aug. 25 Republican runoff against Sen. Darline Graham, Lindsey Graham's sister.

"Ralph Norman represents a reliable, pro-life fighter in this race, and Students for Life Action is proud to endorse him for U.S. Senate," Hawkins said in a release.

LEGISLATIVE SPOTLIGHT: Last week, Congressman Andy Ogles (R-TN5) introduced the Preventing Forced Abortions Act of 2026 (H.R.9868), which we fully endorse. This Legislation will "prohibit federal courts from enforcing provisions in surrogacy contracts that would require a surrogate mother to obtain an abortion." It also "prevents intended parents from withholding agreed-upon compensation when a surrogate mother refuses a request to abort the child she is carrying."

"For decades, all we heard from so-called pro-choice groups like Planned Parenthood is chants of 'my body, my choice.' Those words have seemed to not mean much after a surrogate mother made the choice to not have an abortion," said Hayden Laye, Founder and Director of Pro-Life Greenville. "This is an incredibly simple bill that aims to do exactly what the title says - end forced abortions in America. I challenge Planned Parenthood to announce support of this legislation if they do actually care about women having a choice regarding having a abortion."

Congresswoman Sheri Biggs (R-SC3) has co-sponsored the bill and we urge the rest of the South Carolina Congressional Delegation to follow suit.

FACT CHECK: A woman in South Carolina claims that doctors are denying her miscarriage care because of the state's law protecting preborn children from abortion, despite the fact that the state's law specifies that treating a miscarriage is not an abortion. In reality, the reason the woman has not been given a D&C or other treatment is because doctors often wait to carry out such procedures for two distinct reasons — and neither of those reasons has anything to do with the abortion law.

Key Takeaways:
- Ashley Brown claims she is experiencing a blighted ovum/anembryonic pregnancy, in which an embryo fails to form in the implanted sac. This is the most common cause of miscarriage in the first trimester.
- Brown, however, is blaming South Carolina's pro-life law for the fact that doctors are making her wait to have two follow-up ultrasounds to confirm the diagnosis before they decide on next steps about treating the miscarriage.
- This plan is based on the standard of care for this condition, not the state's pro-life law.
- South Carolina law does not include miscarriage in its definition of abortion, and therefore, miscarriage care is not restricted in the state; even pro-abortion groups have admitted this.
