Jackie Sharp has been volunteering with us for the past two years, showing up consistently to support our adaptive athletes. Outside of Hope for Helm, she serves as an ICU nurse at Chester County Hospital.
Because of her volunteer work, Jackie was recently awarded a $2,000 grant for Hope for Helm through the Penn Medicine CAREs Grant Program
Thanks to Jackie being selected, we’re now able to provide each of our adaptive athletes with a small financial scholarship to help cover the cost of their training.
We’re incredibly grateful for Jackie, her heart to serve others, and for Penn Medicine recognizing the impact of volunteers in our community.
This grant is going to make a real difference for our athletes.

Recently we were one of 10 local charities awarded to receive a $10,000 grant to support our adaptive athletes. We are thankful to the Whitford Classic for beling selected! As a result we have been able to purchase new equipment and provide some scholarships for training.

The Whitford Charitable Classic, a fund of the Chester County Community Foundation, recently announced the distribution of $100,000 in grants to 10 local nonprofits.
