Such a great weekend at Gettysburg National Military Park and Camp Conewago for the weekend.

The Troop hosted the AOL den from Cub Scout Pack 2 - Downingtown and completed part of the Historical Trail activities there. Such a great weekend learning and experiencing Gettysburg and what allowed us to remain a “more perfect union”

Troop 2’s latest adventure took us to Hickory Run State Park for camping and Pocono Whitewater Rafting for an adventure down the water. Such a great time on the water with the Scouts and Scouters.

Hopefully next time we can get that bike ride in too if the weather cooperates.

25 years ago, on September 11th 2001, the world stopped turning and watched as devastation and the unimaginable happened in New York City. On the shore of America.

The chaos that followed on that September morning cast a doubt of how America would respond. The brave heroes as well as the ordinary people responded the days that followed by coming together as one America helping those that were down, giving blood, donating food, singing songs of hope and praise, lighting candles and being true Americans.

Scouting helps to preserve a little bit of the spirit of Sep 12th helpers. Become citizens of your Community, Nation and World with us.

Hello Prospective Scouts, AOLs, Leaders and Families,

Troop 2 would like to invite you all to visit with us on Thursday Sept 24th at 7pm at St Joseph Church Cafeteria (340 Manor Ave Downingtown) to learn a little more about our unit and complete Requirement 7 of your Bobcat Adventure for AOL.

Come and join us for an interactive evening with outdoor activities, firemaking, s'mores and learn about Troop 2 and what makes our unit one of the best in the area, in our own humble opinions.

A quick introduction, Troop 2 is a Boy led, Boys focused, Boy Scout Troop. It is one of the original Boy Scout troops in Chester County Council and it has a deep history of Scouting including over 140 Eagle Scouts. Our Troop is a multi-year Gold tier National Catholic Unit sponsored by St Joseph's Catholic Church and we are closely associated with both the church as well as BSA Cub Pack 2. Please note you do not need to be Catholic to join our Troop although many of our scouts are. Our Troop meets on Thursday nights throughout the year from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Cafeteria of St Joseph Parish School. The Cafeteria is in the Parish School, and is accessed through the back door of the building in the back parking lot.

If possible please reply to this email at [email protected] and let us know how many from your unit/family are attending so we can have enough materials for everyone.
