Such a great event at St Joseph Parish Downingtown with Cub Scout Pack 2 - Downingtown and St Joes Girl Scout troop.

Was great to have all the local community show up for our first (not our last) Touch a Truck events!

Special thanks to Brandywine Valley SPCA for bringing out the pup bus. You made our SPL happy.

This weekend our Troop headed out the the Sweetest Place on Earth for a wonderful day at Hersheypark. The Scouts enjoyed roller coasters and the water park and had way too much to eat and way too much fun all day. Then spent the night at Camp Catherine

We closed the weekend out with a bit of archery prior to heading back to St Joseph Parish Downingtown for dismissal.

8 Scouts and 1 leader from Troop 2 headed down to Summit Bechtel Reserve for the last 2 weeks for Scouting America’s Nat Jamboree along with 100 members of Chester County Council, Scouting America and PA Dutch Council.

The days were filled with all sorts of Scouting activities: Water fun, Scuba, Fi****ms, Archery, Rock Climbing, Merit Badges, Catholic Scouting America Mass, Concerts, Drone and Firework Shows, Whitewater Rafting, Camping and more.

Troop 2’s return to Camp Horseshoe at Chester County Council, Scouting America’s Horseshoe Scout Reservation.

Such a great week with awesome learning activities and opportunities for all Scouts and Scouters.

As BP said “A week of Camp Life is worth six months of theoretical teaching in the meeting room.” This was 100% proven this week.

Thanks again to the camp on the Bend of the Octoraro and we will see you again next year for the 100th!
