“There are many reasons that I believe I am a correct fit for the position of Miss WCU. One of which is my belief in the importance of my platform. Domestic violence runs rampant throughout our society and considering how common it is there is a severe lack of education and prevention put in place to aid victims. Especially in the age group of college students, we are the most common victims of this type of abuse, therefore I believe that this is a platform that needs to be uplifted. I also believe that my passion and drive to make this change is why I should be Miss WCU. It is evident throughout my life that goals I set become reality and I believe the opportunities given to me by Miss WCU will make everything I set out to do more impactful.”
