Plant a mini forest with us - today starting at 9am at Johnsontown Park. The transformation is underway! Thank you to the wonderful volunteers who planted one section of our new Miyawaki forest yesterday. It’s a beautiful sight to behold, and there’s lots more planting to be done today. Come for an hour or stay until we’re done. All are welcome, and no planting experience is required. See you there!

We're planting a Miyawaki Forest at Johnsontown Park this Weekend!

Join us for a special community planting event as we transform this space into a thriving native forest!

Together, volunteers will help plant thousands of native trees, shrubs, and groundcovers using the Miyawaki method—a dense, diverse planting approach designed to establish a healthy forest community. Your helping hands will create habitat for wildlife, support cleaner water, improve soil health, and help restore a resilient native ecosystem for years to come.

Come for one session or join us for both! No experience is necessary, and all are welcome. We’ll provide guidance, work gloves, hand trowels, light refreshments, and snacks.

What to Bring-- If you have them:
Reusable water bottle
Shovel
Wheelbarrow
Work gloves

What a Fall-Festive weekend we have coming up in Dtown! Friends Fall Festival on Saturday and Fall Arts Fest on Sunday. Can’t pick? Let’s go to both!

Start planning the weekend! Fall Arts Fest is on for Sunday October 11

Join us in Kerr Park near the Log House for a day of fall fun. There will be vendors, art, , free pumpkins, kids activities and food trucks. We hope you can join us at this event and help donate to this great cause!

This event is to benefit the Chester County Mural and Arts Project and help bring murals and visual arts to the borough of Downingtown
