Big congratulations to two outstanding Scouts from Troop 1776G who successfully completed their Order of the Arrow Ordeal this weekend!

We couldn’t have done it without the incredible moral support from our Troop OA Adviser, along with the brothers from BSA Troop 56 Honey Brook PA. and BSA Troop Devon 50 Girls. Thank you all for the encouragement, guidance, and fellowship — it meant the world to our new Arrowmen!

We are thrilled to officially join Octoraro Lodge #22! We’re excited to be part of a brotherhood that lives the Scout Oath and Law every day through cheerful service, leadership, and a deep love for the outdoors. Joining OA means more opportunities to grow personally, strengthen our character, preserve Scouting traditions, and give back to our camps and community in meaningful ways.

We can’t wait to continue growing within the Order and to bring even more members of Troop 1776G into this amazing brotherhood in the years ahead. The future is bright!

We’re so proud of our amazing Scout, Charlotte Heilman, who interviewed Chester County Commissioner Eric Roe as part of earning her Citizenship in the Community merit badge! 🌟 At just 11 years old, she attended the Board of Commissioners meeting in West Chester, started the session by leading the entire room in the Pledge of Allegiance, asked thoughtful questions, and left quite an impression.

Commissioner Roe was blown away—he said: “Charlotte has an impressive grasp of civic issues… I’ve never met a fifth grader with such a keen understanding of local government. Mark my words, she will be a member of Congress someday.”

After the meeting, so many of the county’s leaders shared their own great memories from when they were Scouts. It was really special to hear—time and again, it showed just how much Scouting makes a lasting, positive difference in people’s lives and inspires community involvement for years to come.

This is what Scouting is all about: building skills, getting involved in your community, and chasing big dreams—no matter how young you are. Way to go, Charlotte! We’re incredibly proud of you. 🏅❤️

Scout Sunday at Hopewell UMC, Downingtown, PA was truly uplifting today! Our scout Charlotte did beautifully while reading from Mark—the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 with just five loaves and two fish.

Pastor Eddie shared God takes the little we offer—our modest resources, time, or talents—and multiplies them beyond what we can imagine when we hand them over to Him.

The disciples highlight the scarcity by asking if they should spend a year’s wages (200 denarii!) on bread for the crowd. But Jesus uses what they have anyway, turning it into enough for everyone, with baskets left over!

Don’t hesitate to give your ‘five loaves and two fish,’ even if it feels insignificant. Trust God to multiply it and bless others through it.

So proud of Charlotte and our scouts for embodying faith in action! 🙏

Our Scouts had an incredible experience earning their Citizenship in the Nation merit badge at the National Museum of the United States Army! This was truly one of the best merit badge experiences they’ve had—learning about our nation’s history in such an immersive and meaningful way.

The museum is absolutely amazing, filled with incredible exhibits that bring history to life. The volunteers were incredibly helpful, engaging, and informative, making the experience even more impactful. A huge thank you to our chaperones, who also got to enjoy this fantastic museum while our Scouts worked hard toward their badge!

If you haven’t been to the National Museum of the U.S. Army, we highly recommend it! Thank you to everyone who made this experience so memorable. Troop 1776 is proud to learn, grow, and honor our nation’s history and the U.S. Army! 🇺🇸

Wow, these Scouts can really pack in the events! 🚶‍♂️🏛️🐼

Troop 1776 just wrapped up an amazing adventure in D.C., covering 10+ miles on foot and even more on the Metro! 🚇 In just a short time, they explored:

✅ Smithsonian Museums – Air & Space, Natural History, and American History 🏛️
✅ Chinatown – A quick stop for some culture & great food! 🏮🍜
✅ Lincoln Memorial – Standing where history was made 🇺🇸
✅ Arlington National Cemetery – Honoring our nation’s heroes 🎖️
✅ National Zoo – Because no trip is complete without pandas! 🐼

It was a nonstop adventure, and both Scouts and parents are beyond grateful the kids have tomorrow off from school to recover! 😴👏 What an unforgettable experience!
