September was Service Dog Awareness Month and several of our Clubhouse Members have service dogs that work with them each day. We interviewed Jeremy and Will for last month's podcast to share some insights into the benefits of having a service dog and what goes into obtaining one, keeping one, and the ongoing training that takes place. 💰 Today’s community outing adventure brought us to Wintrust Community Bank of Downers Grove. We were provided with a tour of the bank along with information on opening accounts and how banking processes work. Our partners at Wintrust have been supportive of our Clubhouse offering free bi-monthly financial classes to our Members. Thank you to Wintrust for your time and hospitality. 💵 🧠

Our 2026 Fall Fundraiser was a great success! Thank you to our guest speaker, Abe, for sharing his personal story with our attendees. Also a huge thank you to Abe’s boss, Eric from Open Doors, who hired Abe after his life-changing stroke, to work at Open Doors processing federal applications for service dogs to fly on airplanes. In the hustle and bustle of preparing for our Fall Fundraiser today, we were excited to have the OT students from Lewis University! They led a wonderful group focused on recognizing our strengths, embracing growth, and spreading positivity. It was a great opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate the progress we continue to make together! 🍁🪾
