We need some paws on deck for 6th Grade Breakfast next week!

Our 6th Grade Breakfast committee has been hard at work planning a special celebration next week for their class next Thursday, June 4. We need a few more parents of non-grads to pay it forward and volunteer during the breakfast so that the committee can be present with their graduates! Can you help? The tasks are easy (greeting families, pouring drinks, etc.) and you'll get a look behind the scenes at how this special event is run.

What an incredible Friday at the Hound Dog Dash! 🐾 We are SO proud to officially introduce our very own mascot - DANDY - to the Hillcrest family and community!

Watching Dandy come to life surrounded by so many of you made this moment everything we hoped it would be. The energy, the smiles, the school spirit — it was absolutely electric, and it’s something we’ll never forget. 💙🤍

Here’s to Dandy, here’s to Hillcrest, and here’s to every single Hound Dog in our pack. 🎉

Volunteers needed for Field Day!

Hillcrest's annual Field Day is coming up on Tuesday, June 2! Mr. Gilbert can use some helping paws to run activity stations during the AM shift (8:20 am-lunch) and PM shift (12 noon-3 pm). Our PTA-sponsored free Field Day Lunch from Culver's is also returning and volunteers are needed to help serve from 10:50 am-12:30 pm!

-Remaining slots will open to all families via email at 6 pm this Thursday, May 7!

It's Staff Appreciation Week at Hillcrest! Behind every school day are ... SUPERHEROES! We encouragte you to show your appreciation this week in any way that feels right for you. Here are some suggested optional activities for the remainder of the week!

Tuesday, May 5 - Color your hero proud! Power up by wearing your teacher's favorite color to school.

Wednesday, May 6 - Mission: Appreciate our heroes! Have your student (and you!) write a note of recognition for their teacher and other staff members and give it to them today.

Thursday, May 7 - Stock the heroes' headquarters! Help keep your classroom running strong in the final weeks of the school year! Bring a needed classroom supply today (tissues are always a good idea!).

The Hillcrest Variety Show is this Saturday at 10 am at the Tivoli, and the show can't go on without a few more helping paws!

Hound Dogs were well represented at the Screenagers event on Monday night ( #1 school in attendance!) - great to see many of you there.
