Chicagoland Animal Rescue, NFP We are an all volunteer foster home rescue. We also provide information about the cat we have learned through foster and daily interaction by our volunteers.

We rescue homeless and unwanted cats. *Adoption hours are currently by appointment only.* We encourage you to visit our cats available for adoption & reach out through the website for more information. Our cats are examined by a veterinarian, FIV/FELV tested, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, parasite tested/treated, and administered any other procedures recommended by our veterinarian. Adopters are provided a folder with medical records, a rabies certificate, copies of the adoption paperwork, and information to help introduce the cat to their home. An adoption photo is taken of the new family and we look forward to updates and pictures in their new home. Adopters are reminded that we are always the cat's safety net, and should any issues or questions arise, we should be contacted as soon as possible. Meet Little Legs Sunny!
This sweet boy is just 4 1/2 yrs old. He is gentle and affectionate, a little shy at first, and looking for his forever home. He would do well with a laid back cat at home.
Sunny is a little overweight so his new family will need to make sure he sticks to his diet as well as gets plenty of exercise and playtime.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM OUR ADOPTERS!

One of our favorite things at Chicagoland Animal Rescue is getting to see what happens after our cats find their forever homes.

From goofy new personalities and favorite toys to unexpected friendships, cozy naps, and all the little quirks that make each cat special, your updates let us know how our former CAR kitties are doing—and they give us the chance to celebrate their happy endings with our rescue community!

Have you adopted from CAR? We would LOVE to hear from you! Whether it’s been one month, six months, five years, or even longer, send us an update about your CAR kitty.

Tell us:
🐾 How are they doing?
🐾 What are their favorite things?
🐾 Have they developed any funny habits or nicknames?
🐾 Do they have a new best friend?
🐾 And, of course, send us your favorite photos!

Your stories become part of our Updates & Memorials page, where we can celebrate the lives of the cats who have passed through CAR and the wonderful families who gave them their happily ever after. 🌈 And if your CAR kitty has since passed on, we really would love to help honor their lives with you with a memorial post.

👉 Read our adoption updates & memorials here:

Ready to share your story? Message us with your updates and photos—we can't wait to hear how your CAR kitty is doing! The adoption isn't the end of their story… it’s the beginning of their happily ever after. 🐾

MEET SWEET MISTY
Female | 10yrs old | 8.5lbs
Misty is the PERFECT example of what happens of when a cat moves to a foster home. This little lady has practically done a 180 - WHO IS THIS CAT?!?! Not only is she a beautiful dilute tortie with the cutest round face, she is sweet, playful when she wants to be, and shows off her belly!
She is patiently waiting for her future forever family while relaxing with her foster family. She is a little shy but so sweet and likes to cuddle once she gets to know you.

URGENT FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT NEEDED - SWEET LACEY
Female | 10 yrs old | 10lbs.
Sweet Lacey needs a new foster or foster to adopt home. Lacey was rescued after she was left all alone outside. While she adjusted well to her new space at first, we have found that she needs to be a solo cat in her own home. She has been patiently waiting for someone to sweep her off her paws!
Lacey loves to sit by the window, watching the birds and squirrels. She also LOVES to show off her tummy. Lacey would prefer a quiet home and needs to be a solo cat.
To foster or adopt Lacey, go to: https://bit.ly/LaceyCAR
