Why do we at TeachBeyond say education can be a mission?

We firmly believe that with Christ as the center, we can serve and follow the Great Commission through education. Change often begins when people are gathered together and learning, and we aim to teach and build up image-bearers who know their worth and potential in Christ.

Classrooms are wondrous places for discipleship, and when the teachers and staff genuinely care and build relationships with their students, coworkers, and communities, the impact can resound through generations.

We are reaching the nations through education.

Meet our Child Sponsorship Program Sites!

Through child sponsorship, students around the world are given the opportunity to learn and grow in a healthy, Christ-centered environment. For just $35/month, sponsors help provide education, support, encouragement, and opportunities for children who may otherwise never be able to attend school or have their basic needs met.

Each of our program sites is unique, serving different communities and needs, but all share the same heart for transformational education. Our schools and projects go beyond traditional education by integrating faith into every aspect of learning, helping students discover the hope and transformation found in Christ and become all that God intends them to be.

A third of our world is still waiting.

Today, on the International Day for the Unreached, TeachBeyond is joining to help raise awareness for those who still have little or no access to the gospel.

The three lines in these photos represent the whole world. One line set apart represents the one-third who have not yet had the chance to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus.

As TeachBeyond serves through transformational education, we believe God uses faithful presence, learning, and relationships to bring hope in places across the world, including places that can be difficult to reach.

Would you join us in praying for the unreached today and follow to learn more!

What if education is one of the most strategic ways the Church lives out its Great Commission calling?

Education forms lives day after day. It gives learners space to learn, grow, ask questions, discover truth, and encounter the love of Jesus through faithful teachers.

Around the world, Christian educators are serving in missional work. In some communities, education opens doors to places where traditional ministry may be difficult to access. Through their presence, instruction, care, and hope, teachers bear witness to Jesus in their classrooms.

Education gives the Church a powerful way to participate in the Great Commission.

When churches send, equip, support, and cheer on Christian educators, they join in God’s mission to make Jesus known among the nations.

A preschool in Southeast Asia is now open because of a partnership between Wellspring Church in the USA and TeachBeyond.

After first taking a vision trip to the region, Wellspring began supporting the development of the preschool and later sent a team to visit in person for its grand opening celebration.

This story is a reminder that church partnerships are about more than funding a need. They are about shared vision, meaningful steps of faith, and accepting invitations to join in the work God is already doing around the world.

It is also a wonderful picture of how God can use one church’s "yes" to help create a place where young children can learn, grow, and be cared for each day.

Churches can fund real mission projects overseas. See how one partnership launched a preschool in Southeast Asia — and how yours could do the same.

Tanzania is located in East Africa, just south of the Equator. The country stretches from the coastline of the Indian Ocean to inland plains, highlands, and Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain.

Home to more than 70 million people and more than 150 people groups, Tanzania is known for its rich history, strong family ties, oral storytelling traditions, agricultural communities, and remarkable landscapes.

While primary education is required, access to secondary education can still be difficult, especially in under-resourced communities where teachers often need more training, support, and encouragement.

This is where the Sparrow Project comes alongside local educators.

Through the Sparrow Project, TeachBeyond supports teachers in under-resourced schools, equipping them to serve their students and communities with greater confidence and care.
Please join us in praying for beautiful Tanzania, for the amazing teachers serving there, and for the continued work of the Sparrow Project.

One teacher’s growth has not only influenced her own classroom, but also encouraged the teachers around her to grow.

Dana found herself deeply changed by her experience with teacher training at an early childhood school in West Asia. Having grown up in an orphanage, Dana’s formal training was limited, but she had a deep heart for her students.

As Dana began in-service training, she started to see education in a new way. She was frustrated and overwhelmed to realize what had been missing from her own education and from her sons’ education, but she remained committed.

As she put what she was learning into practice, Dana’s confidence grew. Her students also began to grow, showing more eagerness to read and learn.

After the training, Dana became a leader among her colleagues. She helped guide them in lesson plan development, discipline, and general classroom advice.

The impact of Dana’s choice to attend training and act on what she learned has multiplied. One teacher’s growth has not only influenced her own classroom, but also encouraged the teachers around her to grow.
