Help local students start the school year ready to learn!

DGJWC is proud to partner with Hope’s Front Door for their annual Back to School Supply Drive. Donations of new school supplies will help ensure students in our community have the tools they need to walk into the classroom confident and prepared on the very first day of school.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help organize and distribute supplies. Sign-ups for volunteer shifts run July 31–August 12. (Link in bio)

Cardio Tennis is underway!

A big shoutout to Cindy and CCM Health & Fitness, one of DGJWC’s Gold Sponsors. Cindy is passionate about helping people find ways to move their bodies, build confidence, and have fun doing it. When she’s leading a workout, organizing a challenge, or bringing women together on the tennis court, you'll find that her energy is contagious.

Hey, Juniors! It's time for the DGJWC Summer Walking Challenge!

👟 Lace up your sneakers for our DGJWC Summer Walking Challenge throughout the month of July. Log your steps to win prizes!

-$10 to participate.
-Participants are asked to track their own milage on their Apple Watch, Fitbit, etc. from July 1 - July 31.
-All participants must provide proof of attaining 100 miles to be eligible for prizes.

🏆 First Place winner - with the most miles walked.

🎉Anyone will over 100 miles logged be entered into a drawing and one name will be randomly selected.

Did you know? Downers Grove has a Juniorettes program for young female leaders!

The DG Juniorettes program brings together girls in grades 7–12 for a fun and meaningful club year from September through May.

As a DG Juniorette, you’ll have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, participate in community service projects, make new friends, and create a positive impact in our community.

Are you passionate about volunteering? Maybe you're looking to build confidence, or want to connect with other service-minded girls! Juniorettes offers something for everyone.

Libraries do so much more than lend books—and we're proud to help support that mission.

DGJWC recently presented a $1,000 philanthropy donation to the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation. Philanthropy Chairwoman Cathy Lykins and DGJWC President Kristen Avery were honored to deliver the check on behalf of our club and support an organization that plays such an important role in our community.

The Foundation helps fund extraordinary programs and resources beyond traditional library funding. From supporting social work services and summer reading programs to providing colorblind glasses, public art, and expanded learning opportunities, it helps ensure the library remains a place where everyone can discover, grow, play, and learn.
