🎶 It takes a community to make music happen! 🎶

As we look ahead to our new season, we want to take a moment to thank the incredible businesses and organizations who supported the Downers Grove Choral Society through advertising last season.

Your support does more than help us put on concerts—it helps make our community choir possible and allows us to continue bringing choral music, connection, and joy to our community. ❤️

We are truly grateful for your partnership and for believing in the power of music to bring people together.

Thank you for supporting the Downers Grove Choral Society! 🎶

Please join us in supporting these wonderful local businesses and organizations who support the arts in our community. 👏

🎉 BIG NEWS! 🎉

We are extremely pleased to announce that the Downers Grove Choral Society is a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts grant! 🎶

This grant will support the commission of a new choral work by Grammy-nominated composer Shawn E. Okpebholo, created to honor our nation’s veterans and commemorate America’s 250th anniversary.

We are incredibly honored to be part of this meaningful project and cannot wait to share this powerful new work with our community. ❤️🤍💙

✨ The world premiere will take place at our November 15, 2026 concert.

This April, we are celebrating Vocal Music and want to share this article from Chorus Connection with you as it demonstrates one of the many ways it touches our lives:

"As we navigate the complexities of modern society, choirs emerge as essential players, weaving together threads of community, diversity, and personal growth. In cultures where social harmony is ingrained, and amidst the surge of loneliness and isolation exacerbated by the pandemic, choirs stand as vital agents of change."
