We are dedicated to being a welcome entrance for those in need of immediate assistance, providing vital services with care, compassion, and respect. Our mission is not only to address the immediate challenges our clients face but to also light the way forward, directing them to further resources and support. We are a resource for DuPage County residents seeking assistance with some of their most pressing concerns. These individuals and families are in crisis, and include the working poor, the recently unemployed and the chronically unhoused. Our community partners needed a trusted friend to help their members, and we are here to serve. With more than 300 client visits each month, Hope’s Front Door is organized to train interview-volunteers, track all client visits and maintain an extensive list of helping agencies for extended assistance. By establishing visit and annual assistance limits, we provide a reasonably fair distribution of the communities’ resources.
