The Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58 is gearing up for another great Oktoberfest in Historic Downtown Downers Grove, and volunteers are needed to help make the event a success!

Oktoberfest is more than just a fun community tradition—it supports a great cause. The Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization that donates 100% of Oktoberfest proceeds directly to District 58 schools, supporting students and educational opportunities throughout Downers Grove.

Construction has officially begun at the Main Street Train Station & Linda Kunze Plaza, with work on the Flexible Amenity Areas scheduled to start this week. These enhancements are an outcome of the 2025 Guiding DG Streetscape Plan. We appreciate the continued investment from the Village of Downers Grove towards creating an even more vibrant & welcoming downtown for residents, visitors, and businesses alike.

Municipal Sales Tax: $4.57 million (+14.01% vs. Q1 2025)
Home Rule Sales Tax: $4.28 million (+77.14% vs. Q1 2025)

🛍️ Total Retail-Related Revenue

$8.95 million
+37.59% compared to Q1 2025

🍽️ Additional Revenue Indicators

Food & Beverage Tax: $903,542 (+8.08%)
Hotel Tax: $231,943 (+36.93%)

It is an honor to open our taproom doors to you as the Reader’s Choice Favorite Lager brewer of 2025. We’re also excited to welcome the month of May because it means we are that much closer to releasing our Editor’s Pick Top 20 Beers of 2024: Heller Bock, plus a brand new beer: Spring Beer. Maifest is right around the corner, so save the date: 5/16 from 12-5pm.
