💜12 days until NH Gives💜
One of the biggest misconceptions about syringe service programs is that they encourage more drug use. Decades of research says otherwise. Evidence shows SSPs can increase treatment engagement and help reduce injection frequency for many participants. Public health works best when conversations are rooted in evidence, not assumptions.

Giving is only one way to support us. Another is taking time to learn the facts behind syringe services programs and the more than 40 years of public health research showing how these services reduce harm, save lives, improve community health, and connect people to care.

Last week, Kristina and Chloe from the SOS Leadership Team attended the NH Nonprofit Conference & Expo hosted by the NH Center for Nonprofits.

From connecting with organizations across the state to learning new skills and strategies, the conference was a valuable opportunity to grow, collaborate and strengthen the work we do every day for New Hampshire communities.

We’re grateful to be part of a network that continues to show how 💜

Our Executive Director, John Burns, and Deputy Director, Maggie Weaver, recently partnered with Lamprey Health Care for their free Community Matters speaker series, presenting on support for families and communities.

During the workshop, they introduced two family support models being utilized at SOS: Collaborative Proactive Solutions and Invitation to Change. We’re honored to partner with Lamprey in this work and thankful for spaces that encourage dialogue and real community impact💜
