At moments, hospitality can seem like a performance. All the right touches, all on display, so in the end we are simply left to be impressed with the host. But hospitality is not to impress the other, but rather to meet them, invite them into the life of the host and say, welcome to life here, there’s space for you.

Happy Birthday to you, Edith Anglin! You carry with you a joy and peace of heart and life that exudes Jesus in every encounter. There will be moments when we all face trial, but the key is finding the joy of knowing Jesus is with us through it all. Every encounter with you is an encounter with one who carries that assurance and thank you for teaching us that we too can walk with that peace. We hope you have the best of Birthdays today. It's a tough sell to be given a task to build with no idea of the goal of the construction. It is easy to feel the same way about rules of faith. I am supposed to do this, don't do that; but I'm not sure why. Exodus 3 gives us this reminder: follow so we know how to live in the Kingdom to which He is leading us.

A few midweek reminders:

1) We are only one week from the start of Worshipful Wednesdays! August 26th at 5:30p we will begin with our kickoff and Prayer Experience! We can't wait to see you!

2) Membership Class continue this weekend on Sunday at 9a.

3) Fantasy Football League again this year with great opportunities for fellowship and fun. Sign up with Jaden in the welcome center this Sunday if you are interested in participating.

4) Board meeting this Sunday after Service.

Awards are given for the talents we possess and how we employ them. We attach much of our worth to the skills we have, and what we get done. It is an easy by-product then to value-or devalue-others based on how we perceive their actions. You and others are more than activity. May we see the worth that Christ sees in us.

A few midweek reminders...

1) Friday kicks off Brandon Springs Camp! We need all registrations and dues no later than AUGUST 12. Drop offs will be at 5p on Friday at the church and please make sure that you do not drop off your student until you have personally checked in with a counselor. Pick ups will be at 11a at Brandon Springs on Sunday. It is going to be a great weekend. Check the group me for more specifics on the packing list.

2) Membership Class continues this Sunday at 9a. We are walking through the history of the Church in general, the Church of the Nazarene specifically, how we think theologically, as well as places to be involved in the life of the local church.

3) We are still in need of a few volunteers as we get close to the beginning of the 2026-27 season of Worshipful Wednesdays - We are in need of helpers for the Kitchen Staff (See Dave B.) and for a few more helpers with both the Teens and Elementary age (See Pastor Kara).
