Internship in Participatory Cultural Mapping:

Community members and summer student interns will produce a Participatory Cultural Resource Map with geographic information systems (GIS), blending scholarly documents with storytelling and local art, at this center of family genealogy, connecting many around the Delaware Bay and beyond. The process of training and stewarding mapping tools, will strengthen community capacity for managing their own cultural heritage, honoring differences while leveraging shared experiences, and garnering respect from the greater community for future generations. J'sNNA believes in cost-saving measures for its members and secures discounts, and promotes bartering for goods and services. J'sNNA values the importance of the strategic and effective utilization of technology for advancing cultures.

THIS SATURDAY! meet our new UDEL cultural mapping intern sharing research about Clem Carney's nets! Please, welcome her, introduce your cousins & help recruit interns to save our stories and protect the Village of Fork Branch and beyond!

Visitors of all ages are invited to learn all about fishing at the Go Fish Delaware! Family Fishing Festival to be held, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Aquatic Resources Education Center, located off Route 9 east of Smyrna. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Story of Cultural Mapping the Village of Fork Branch

Help us find direct descendants of the Village of Fork Branch and volunteers who will help collect, share, and illustrate “The Stories of Cultural Mapping at the Village of Fork Branch” through multi-media art forms, mapping technology or simply assisting our work parties.
