The Delaware State Troopers Association and the Ty Snook Foundation, in partnership with Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant of Lewes, are proud to present the inaugural “Lewes Goes Blue – Ty Snook Legacy 5K, Run and Walk.”
This event is being held in honor of Cpl./1 Matthew “Ty” Snook, recognizing his service and sacrifice. We are encouraging all DSP/LEO members to enjoy this family-friendly event, being coordinated by the Seashore Striders Group as part of their “Triple Crown Series.” The event scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Lewes, Delaware, at Irish Eyes Restaurant, with a start time of 0800 hours and post-race gathering at Irish Eyes following the race.

The DSTA would like to say thank you for everyone that came out for the 2nd annual Shoot For the Future at Owens Station Sporting Clays LLC. This year we saw a drastic increase in the number of shooters (143 contestants). Over $1900 in Lewis Class pay outs and $750 HOA pay out. We had two food trucks, an ice cream truck, and bounce house for the children. We also had gun raffles, silent auctions, live auctions, and a great variety of DSTA merchandise for sale. We appreciate our sponsors for the event and everyone that came to support our scholarship fund.

🚨 5th Annual Rally for Our First Responders – Beneficiary Introduction 🚨

We are proud to continue introducing the non-profit beneficiaries for the 5th Annual Rally for Our First Responders, taking place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Hudson Fields in Milton, Delaware, from 12:00–5:00 PM (gates open at 11:30 AM).

Today, we are honored to welcome the Delaware State Troopers Association as a beneficiary for the 2026 Rally.

The Delaware State Troopers Association works to improve the terms and conditions of employment for its members while providing protection and promoting the general welfare of Delaware State Troopers. The Association also fosters cooperation and fraternity among the State of Delaware, the Division of State Police, the Department of Safety and Homeland Security, and law enforcement agencies throughout the state. In addition, it encourages social, charitable, and educational activities among police officers, always with the best interests of its members at heart.

Last year, the Delaware State Troopers Association was a beneficiary of the Rally, and we were proud to donate $9,000 in support of their mission.

At this time, the Delaware State Troopers Association is also raising funds in honor of Corporal Grade One Matthew “Ty” Snook of the Delaware State Police, who was killed in the line of duty on December 23, 2025, while working his post at the Wilmington DMV. Corporal Snook was tragically shot and later succumbed to his injuries. We continue to keep his family, fellow troopers, and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
