Canines Assisting Service Heroes CASH

Canines Assisting Service Heroes CASH CASH procures, trains and provides, at no charge, service dogs to veterans of the Armed Forces, who

Canines Assisting Service Heroes is a unique program within the state of Delaware. We provide service dogs to qualified PTSD/TBI Veterans at no cost. This program is managed on a volunteer basis with no paid employees. This allows for 100% of all donations to be placed directly to the service dog program. In addition to providing the service member with a companion for life, the program also sets

up a care plan with the recipient's veterinary doctor. The proven track record of Chapter 850 Vietnam Veterans of America and the dedication of its members to the VVA motto "Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another" is the true key to success of the CASH program. Every member of the organization is dedicated to helping their fellow vets in this special way. With your help we can give a Delaware veteran a new lease on life. We'd like to thank Dover Elks Lodge #1903 for inviting CASH to their annual Quarter Auction. It was a very well organized and entertaining event. In addition to the generous patrons, the Lodge donated their half of the 50/50 to our program. We are fortunate to be supported by an organization that does so much for our community, especially its Veterans.

Thank you to everyone who donated and showed your support for our veteran Elizabeth and her service dog, Cash. Here’s a post-surgery update:

Cash had surgery on a mass near his right eye, and while it went well, we’re still awaiting biopsy results. The surgical team made sure Cash felt extra special, decorating his cone of shame with a Vietnam Service Ribbon to honor his service for today’s veterans. Just zoom in to see the pride in his face! He is now home resting in great care with Elizabeth.

Your kindness and support make a difference every day. 💙

🐾 Meet Chief, a 6-year-old Chocolate Lab and dedicated service dog for US Army Veteran David White. Chief plays a vital role in supporting David with his combat-related injuries and is a cherished member of his family. 🐾

Chief now needs two critical surgeries to repair CCL tears in both knees. These surgeries are expensive, totaling over $12,000. Thankfully, Canines Assisting Service Heroes (C.A.S.H.) is committed to covering 100% of each dog’s healthcare for life, easing this financial burden for our veterans.

This surgery is essential for Chief’s comfort and health, and it ensures he can continue his life-changing work with David. Please consider contributing to this cause to help Chief get the care he needs.
