HARRINGTON, DE (Harrington Raceway & Casino/ Quenton Egan Photography) – David Hamm and Frank Chick’s Black Hope ($12, Brandon Givens) was a 1:56 winner in the $22,500 Open Trot Wednesday at Harrington Raceway.
Long shot Dyladmar set the tempo at 17-to-1, leaving the gate hard from post three to set fractions of 27.1, 56.3 and 1:25.4. Somebody Special and Baby Bob headed up the outer tier while Black Hope awaited racing room in the pocket. The field bunched on the final turn with the leader tiring and Black Hope charging through down the passing lane for his 4th win of the season. Baby Bob was second with a dead heat between Arrowhead Hanover and Speed Away for third. Trained by Les Givens, it was the 23rd career win for the 7-year-old Bar Hopping gelding. It was one of 3 wins on the card for driver Givens, the meet’s leading driver.
Mark and Betsy Lucas’ FD Pure Platinum ($89.60, Jason Green) lit up the board with a wire-to-wire win in the 6th race. The 5-year-old EL Platinum mare notched her 2nd win of the season for her co-owner/trainer Mark Lucas.
Later in the card, Eddie Dennis co-owned and trained Top Flight Champion registered his 7th win in a row in 1:58.4. The Top Flight Angel c**t has banked nearly $130,000 in his sophomore campaign.
Live racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule through October 21.

HARRINGTON, DE (Harrington Raceway & Casino/ Quenton Egan Photography) – Bob Shahan’s Jett Propelled ($4.40, Jason Thompson) continued her stellar 2026 season with a 1:55.1 triumph in the $22,500 Mares Open Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.
Off a perfect second-over trip guided by Thompson, the Roddy’s Bags Again 5-year-old mare surged home to achieve her 10th win of the year and eclipse $210,000 in seasonal earnings in the process for her owner/trainer. Jett Propelled hit the wire first narrowly over pacesetter Always B Merry and Cindy Jo. After being a Delaware sire stakes champion at 2 and 3, Jett Propelled as flourished the last two seasons, emerging as one of the top mares on the Delaware circuit.
Live racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule until October 21.

HARRINGTON, DE Harrington Raceway & Casino/ Quenton Egan Photography) – Michael and Sara Kimelman’s T Dog ($12.40, Jason Thompson) was an upset winner in the $22,500 Open Pace Monday at Harrington Raceway.
The 6-year-old Bolt The Duer gelding battled Back Pocket Miki in deep stretch for a narrow win as race favorite Wehadababyetzaboy had traffic issues from post 8 and was third. T Dog, trained by co-owner Mike Kimelman, notched his 6th win of the year and 27th lifetime.
One race later, Penelope Morgan and Dan Munson’s Ridin The Waves ($2.10, Tony Morgan) won his 4th straight race in 1:54. Trained by Munson, it was his 7th win of the season in a conditioned claiming event.
The meet’s leading driver, Brandon Givens, had 5 wins on the card, while Montrell Teague had a hat trick.
Live racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday (post time 4:30 p.m.) schedule through October 21.

HARRINGTON, DE (Harrington Raceway & Casino/ Quenton Egan Photography) – A pair of Open-level events served as co-features on the Harrington Raceway Tuesday (August 25) program.
In the $22,500 Mares Open, Jett Propelled led the distaff mares to an opening quarter in 28 seconds and half-mile in 57 as the field remained single file until the race to three-quarters in 1:26.2. Jett Propelled drew away in the stretch for an open length win over Cindy Jo and Always B Merry. The 5-year-old Roddy’s Bags Again mare notched her 25th career win and boosted her seasonal earnings to nearly $200,000 for owner/trainer Bob Shahan. The mare has enjoyed a standout 2026 campaign and picked up her 9th win of the season.
In the $22,500 Open Trot, even-money favorite Speed Away was in pursuit of his 3rd straight win, despite post 8 and the 8-year-old Father Patrick gelding did just that, with a 1:56.1 triumph for owners Breakaway Racing and Yorwollahan Racing Team. All Wrapped Up was second with Baby Bob third. Trained by Nick Callahan, Speed Away ($4.20, Corey Callahan) continued his affinity for the Harrington-half mile, as the former track horse of the meet notched his 32nd career win and 20th at Harrington off a confident first-over charge near three-quarters.
Trainer Les Givens had 3 wins on the card.
Live racing will return to a Monday through Wednesday schedule (post time 4:30 p.m.) starting August 31 through the balance of the meet until October 21.

HARRINGTON, DE (Harrington Raceway & Casino/ Quenton Egan Photography) – A pair of $22,500 Open level events headlined the Tuesday (August 18) Harrington Raceway program.
In the $22,500 Open Trot, Breakaway Racing and Yorwollohan Racing’s Speed Away ($11, Corey Callahan/pictured) overcame post 8 to pick up his 31st career win and 7th of the season with a 1:55.4 victory over Somebody Special and Vlahos. Speed Away, an 8-year-old Father Patrick gelding, made the lead at the opening quarter-mile and never looked back for trainer Nick Callahan. The former Harrington horse of the meet continues to flourish on the half-mile racetrack with his 6th win over the track this year.
Jeff Fought and Brian Carsey’s Laurel Court ($37.80, Russell Foster) was an upset winner in the Mares Open for trainer Jay Gannon. The 5-year-old Nob Hill High mare surged through the stretch to pass tiring favorite Stevie Hanover, who was second, for her 3rd win of the season. Lil Miss Wondrphyl was third. It was just the ninth start of the year for Laurel Court, who surpassed $200,000 in career earnings with the triumph.
Driver Brandon Givens continued to have the hot hand with a four-win night, after winning seven races Monday.
Live racing will return next week (August 24-25) before the resumption of a three-day schedule on August 31 through October 21. Post time is 4:30 p.m.

Wehadababyetzaboy, Givens Headline Monday Harrington Card
HARRINGTON, DE (Harrington Raceway & Casino/ Quenton Egan Photography) – Evm Racing’s Wehadababyetzaboy ($3.40) was a dominant winner despite post 8 in the $22,500 Open Pace Monday at Harrington Raceway in 1:52.4, part of a 7 win night for his driver Brandon Givens.
The win was the exclamation point on a big night for Givens, who won 5 of the first 6 races on the program, including a pair for his father, trainer Les Givens.
In the feature, race favorite Wehadababyetzaboy made the lead at the opening quarter-mile and never looked back, with an open length win over Saulsbrook Genesis and Back Pocket Miki and Proper One, who were in a dead heat for third. Trained by Chuck Crissman Jr., it was his 10th win of the year and second straight victory, after winning the $50,000 Governor’s Cup at Harrington during the Delaware State Fair. The 7-year-old Sweet Lou gelding has made more than $180,000 seasonally and surpassed $500,000 in his career.
Troy Beyer had 4 wins.
Live racing will continue on a Monday and Tuesday schedule until a three-day schedule will resume on August 31-September 2 through October 21.
