-FREE burgers and hotdogs
-numerous FREE school supplies and children’s books
-numerous vendors to include FREE blood pressure screening for adults orchestrated by Amerihealth
-FREE popsicles for all ages
-a chance to play on a VR headset and bond with our officers while playing board games

Join the Brandywine Counseling & Community Services team and make a difference in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness and substance use challenges throughout Kent and Sussex Counties.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Location: Milford

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver's license with 2 points or less
Must be a Peer (SUD or SMI)
CPRS certification preferred (required within the first year if not currently certified)

Friendship House is calling Code Orange today, Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Walk-ins are welcome for Code Orange services - no referrals are needed.
Those in need of heat relief are encouraged to visit these locations - light snacks, water, and access to bathrooms will be available:

WILMINGTON
📍 FH Wilmington Empowerment Center (720 N Orange St): Wednesday - 7am-5pm

NEWARK
📍 FH Newark Empowerment Center (300 E Main St): Wednesday - 8:30am-4:30pm

MIDDLETOWN
📍 FH Middletown Empowerment Center (44 W. Main St): Wednesday - 8:30am-4:30pm
