The parking areas and paved roads associated with the Cross Creeks National Wildlife Refuge Office and Visitor Center will be closed Wednesday October 7 through Friday October 9. Public access will not be allowed through the Visitor Center roads during this time. Refuge visitors are encouraged to access the Refuge through the South Cross Reservoir access on Highway 49 and/or the Elk Reservoir access on Highway 233.

The Office and Visitor Center parking areas and paved roads will be repaired, sealed, and re-striped during this 3-day period. We expect full public access to resume sometime Friday afternoon.

Attention Visitors of Cross Creeks National Wildlife Refuge:

Please be advised that the Cross Creeks NWR portion of Commissary Hollow Road will be closed for emergency repairs. The closure will begin the first week of September and continue until the road is passable. Refuge visitors should use Commissary Ridge Road to access public use opportunities in the Commissary Hollow portion of Cross Creeks National Wildlife Refuge.

We are looking for volunteers! Spring cleanup is happening to the trails at the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge. If you have a few hours to spare this Saturday from 9-12 please join us for this trail cleanup. If you just so happen to have a leaf blower, please bring that along. Come to the Refuge Visitor Center at 1371 Wildlife Drive in Springville, TN.

Looking to get out on the trails this summer? Come be a part of the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge's trail cleanup day THIS SATURDAY to make sure our trails are summer ready!

Volunteers will meet at 9:00 at the Visitor's Center. Make sure to bring water bottles and dress appropriately for the weather. If you have tools (especially leaf blowers to clear leaf litter), please bring them with you!
