ATTENTION:
Unfortunately, we are not having luck drawing in wood ducks to the trap site. Between the raccoons, beavers and a coopers hawk, the ducks are very skittish. Due to the lack of ducks, the Friends of Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge Wood Duck Banding event is CANCELED. If conditions improve before the end of the banding season, the event may be rescheduled. Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions, please reach out to our office at (731) 642-2091.

Attention:
Starting next week the Refuge will be putting down new gravel on the primary public road at Cross Creeks. The project will cover the road from the refuge office all the way to Elk reservoir. This work will begin Monday July 21 and will continue for the next two months. During that time the Refuge may need to close the road temporarily or partially to accommodate the large volume of dump trucks that will be on the refuge daily.

We thank you for your understanding during this time!
