On August 1, 2026, President Rex Riggs, from the Dover Lions Club, presented the Bayliss Rural Fire Department a check that will enable them to purchase AED's to carry on their emergency calls. This will enable the department to increase medical assistance in areas where response times are hindered due to rural settings. 🦁

Dover Lions Club 2026 banquet is in the books. A good time was had. Outgoing President Kim Virden provided steady sure leadership in a challenging year. We were blessed with the presence of Mona Berry, and we honor the memory of Lion Stan Berry. Lion of the Year went to Bobbi Robbins, a selfless servant. Slate of Officers for 2027: President Rex Riggs, First Vice-President Dustin Morphis, Second Vice-President Dora Sanders (not pictured), Secretary Chis Moss, Treasurer Bobbi Robbins, and Tail Twister Jimmy Carabajal. A great slate of Officers for another year. Haven't seen Kim Virden as happy as he was when he passed that gavel in a while! Dover Lions. We serve!

The Dover Veterans Memorial United States Flag was lowered to half staff at sunrise to mourn, respect, and honor fallen service members who paid the ultimate price for our freedom, then raised to full-staff at noon to show patriotism, respect and honor that we have such persons willing to pay the ultimate price for the feeedom we hold dear.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Members of the Dover Lions Club met to lower the U. S. flag in Dover to half staff on Tuesday evening. This was in honor of long time Dover Lions Club member and State Representative, Stan Berry. The flag will remain at half staff until Friday at sundown pursuant to Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders' proclamation honoring Representative Berry. Our hearts continue to go out to his family.

The Dover Lions Club is saddened to hear of the passing of our own fellow Lion, Stan Berry. Stan was a charter member of the Dover Lions Club in 1988, and was a Melvin Jones Fellow. He served Dover as an active member of the Club for over 37 years, giving not only of his time and money, and of his heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mona and his children and grandchildren at this difficult time. Stan Berry will be dearly missed by the Dover Lions Club.
