Good luck to Coach Knapp with his new endeavor!

🏈 The Cape Henlopen School District is excited to announce the hiring of Christopher “Chip” Knapp as the new head coach of the Cape Vikings football team. Coach Knapp brings more than 30 years of experience, leadership, and passion for the game that will both inspire and develop our student-athletes on and off the field.

Coach Knapp served as an offensive coordinator, assistant head coach and head coach of the football program at Wesley College. While there, he administered all aspects of a top small college football program and continued the program's streak of 15 post-season appearances. In 2021, he joined the Dover High School football program where he was the head coach and a social studies/float teacher until January 2024. During his time coaching the Senators team, Coach Knapp led the team to three winning seasons and three DIAA State Championship births, including an appearance in the finals of the 2022 season. He was also a 2-time Delaware Class 3A Coach-of-the-Year during his three years with Dover.

We look forward to welcoming Coach Knapp to our District in the next couple of weeks!

He takes over a team that went 6-5 last season and 4-2 in the West Jersey Football League's Constitution Division.

We are sad to announce the passing of former Wesley College Wolverine Benjamin Campbell (Qb/'18). I'd like to start a new tradition to honor fallen members of Dubnation and to let their friends and family know that... In life and in death, "HOW WILL WE WIN?" was more than just a motto. Please join me in commenting TOGETHER! There is a benefit in the planning, I will post the details as they become available.
