Last month our MSK Dover family gathered for a pool party/planning meeting. While the girls enjoyed some bonding time in the pool, the adults planned out our events and activities for our upcoming 2026-2027 school year! We’re so excited for another successful year ahead!

Thank you to our leadership & volunteers for all you do for our MSK girls! Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed! 💖

Oh and might I add…we ate GOOD!! Mrs. Dee treated everyone to crabs 🦀, everyone pitched in with utensils/paper products, drinks, desserts and food galore! Amazing day together! 😍

Yesterday our MSK girls had the great opportunity of attending 4th Annual Boss Brunch. We were blessed to leave spiritually filled by the amazing speakers, uplifting atmosphere and sisterhood as we bonded together.

Thank you for this experience! It’s one thing to share these moments together as adult women but when you have you girls also being exposed to this information & togetherness, that’s a different level of impact!! We appreciate you ❤️

Sunshine, laughter, and unforgettable memories! ☀️💦 Our MSK girls had the best time making a splash at Jungle Jim's Waterpark. From thrilling slides to lazy river moments and nonstop laughs, today was all about friendship, fun, and enjoying summer together. These are the moments they'll remember for years to come! 💖🌊

Last week our MSK family celebrated our annual Founder’s Day!

Celebrating the vision, dedication, and legacy that started it all. 🎉 Although this year we had this event without our MSK founder physically here with us, her spirit was definitely felt. We love and miss you Mrs. Charlotte Miller-Lacy 💖

Emotions were heavy as we honored her legacy. Every girl received an award for their dedication & commitment to growing with MSK. We thank our leaders & volunteers for their unwavering support as well. Couldn’t do this without them! Cheers to many more successful years ahead 🙏🏽✨💜

Our MSK girls had a wonderful time on our field trip to the Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA). We learned a lot about recycling, composting, we got to play games and enjoy separating trash on the conveyor belt. We even got to see their tee-pee & garden 🍃 We ended the trip with a delicious lunch at Cheddars!! 💖

Some of our MSK girls went camping on the Underground Railroad last Friday night!! It was an amazing experience! Some activities included:

▪️bird watching
▪️pitching our tents
▪️hearing the biorhythms of the plants
▪️enjoying meals curated & inspired by the Underground Railroad
▪️animal farm
▪️outdoor movie under the stars
▪️road clean up
▪️view of one of the safe houses that held slaves to freedom

Empowering the next generation, one skincare lesson at a time ✨ Watching these young girls learn confidence, self-care, and healthy habits from a dedicated Mary Kay consultant was beautiful to see. Beauty starts with taking care of yourself inside and out 💕

Many of our MSK girls already have a skincare routine, but there were also many who don’t. They learned new techniques and got to test out some products from our amazing MaryKay consultant.

Lastly, we feasted for lunch with delicious baked ziti + salad 🍝🥗🤤

Our MSK girls enjoyed diving into Spring arts & crafts!!
The focus was on seeds & trees and how animals adapt to the new changes in season.

We began reading a book about Trees. Our DSU intern Denasia shared about animals that are nocturnal. The girls learned so much 🦉

Another one of our interns read a story about seeds. She showed depictions of photos of the steps it takes from seed to plant 🍃

The girls used these stories as inspiration for their posters titled “Trees are Terrific…for People and Places.”
With this title in mind and what they learned from the stories, the girls created an image of their own interpretation of where trees would be terrific for people & places in our community 🌳🪾

At the end, each girl went home with a packet of seeds to plant and watch it grow 🍃They were thrilled about this!!

A huge thank you to “Marlynnae Glow” who also joined our girls in arts & crafts and created her own poster too!! We are grateful for your amazing support to our MSK family!! 💖

Our MSK girls experienced so much fun on Saturday! They got to bedazzle sneakers, decorate and bedazzle t-shirts/hats, do lashes and paint nails, and even practice braiding and styling mannequin heads. It was a true girly girly day ✨🥰💖

These could become future skillsets they want to dive further into and who knows…could be a business they become passionate about!
