Welcome to the Amish Country Bike Tour! Using the links below, you will be able to download your preferred route(s) for offline use (to save on your phone battery) and follow turn-by-turn directions on your phone without a paid Ride with GPS account. (If you already have a paid Ride with GPS subscription, or you use a Garmin/Wahoo GPS device, you will download the routes as you usually do.) The Amish Country Bike Tour is a RAIN or SHINE event.

The Amish Country Bike Tour is NOT a race. Obey all rules of the road -- roads/intersections are not controlled beyond the initial departure out of Dover. Maintain awareness of your surrounding cyclists and motor vehicles.

If you live in the West Dover area and you see one of these signs this week on a road that you drive on, that's letting you know that there will be thousands of people riding bicycles on Saturday on that road. Please consider if you can avoid that road on Saturday morning (October 10). If that's not possible for you, however, please at least be mentally prepared to drive slowly and extra carefully. Expect delays...and give yourself just a little bit of extra time to get wherever you're going.

Lots of you asking about changing your distance today!

You can change your ride distance. We don’t need to do anything, but you do!

Just make sure you have the correct route downloaded from RideWithGPS, print a cue sheet for backup and plan to depart at the correct time for your new distance, following the correct color arrows for your new route.

We don’t time the event. We ask you to choose when you register so that we can use those numbers to help plan accordingly and assist us with shopping, seeking volunteers and managing expectations. Ultimately, someone else will decide to ride your original distance and all will be well.

Parking:
The roads immediately around Legislative Mall at 410 Legislative Ave. will be blocked off. There are plenty of state owned employee parking lots and street parking available South, East and West of the venue. This year there will be additional parking restrictions due to DSU's Homecoming Parade. Do NOT park in the lots at the Biggs Museum, Treadway Towers or Dover Public Library, you may be ticketed/towed. See separate e-mail communication dated 9/25/26 7 am for available parking locations.

Please leave at your assigned departure time based on your intended ride distance. These departure times will provide police escorts from Dover and ensure that your rest stops are open:
- 100 miles: 7:00 am, follow the WHITE arrows
- 62 miles: 7:30 am, follow the RED arrows
- 50 miles: 8:00 am, follow the GREEN arrows
- 25 miles: 8:30 am, follow the BLUE arrows
- 16 miles: 9:00 am, follow the YELLOW arrows

PLEASE note that ALL arrows leaving the start will be WHITE; the colors will change once the routes separate.
