Dover FMBA Local 60 This page represents the members of Dover FMBA Local 60. This organization represents the professional firefighters of the Town of Dover NJ.

The 17 firefighters that make up the Professional Fire Department for the Town of Dover are all New Jersey Certified Emergency Medical Technicians or New Jersey certified Paramedics. We respond to all fire and emergency calls in the town. The Professional Department also makes up the Dover Fire Prevention Bureau, conducting all fire inspections in businesses, and multiple dwellings within the town

, along with conducting fire investigations and maintaining a fire prevention program in all the town’s schools. Current minimum staffing has only three firefighters working at all times with many times four firefighters on a shift.

Our members are working alongside the Dover DPW and Dover Water Commission to clear snow from fire hydrants throughout the town. A properly cleared hydrant can save precious time in an emergency so please clear the hydrant closest to your home if you are able!

We are proud to have had members from Dover FMBA 60 participate in the Tunnel to Towers 5K this morning.

“The event symbolizes Stephen Siller’s final footsteps from the foot of the Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers and pays homage to the 343 FDNY firefighters, law enforcement officers, and thousands of civilians who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.”

Dover FMBA Local 60 members took home a first place trophy on Monday at the NJFMBA Cooked and Uncorked Competition. Locals throughout the state compete to create the best dish in different categories and Dover’s team won best dessert for their pumpkin spice cheesecake paired with a smoked cinnamon old fashioned. Great job guys!
