My name is Lucky Orphan and I am the namesake of the rescue! I am known around the barn as Lucky Orphan Copal. I am the grandson of the great racehorse, Northern Dancer. I raced under the name "Lucky Orphan" for five years and evented for seven! When I came to LOHR, I only wanted to run. With the love and rest that the rescue and its volunteers have and continue to provide me with, I have turned into a wonderful, willing and patient horse!
