Piscataquis Valley Snowmobile Club

Piscataquis Valley Snowmobile Club Snowmobile Club of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. The club also has two separate trails that allow snowmobilers to access Sebec Lake near Greely’s Landing.

The Piscataquis Valley Snowmobile Club (PVSC) is a non-profit, all volunteer club that grooms and maintains the local snowmobile trails in the Dover-Foxcroft, Maine area. Working alongside neighboring clubs, the PVSC trails connect from the town of Dover-Foxcroft to Guilford, Dexter, Sebec, and Charleston. Our trail system is made possible thanks to the generous support of:

⚠️ Attention ⚠️

We hope everyone can make it down to the river for the fly-in this Saturday.

We are asking everyone PLEASE STAY OFF THE RUNWAY. It has been dragged and groomed for airplane traffic, not snow mobiles. The runway will be marked with cones so please stay on the north side to move down the river towards the spectator area in front of The Mill Inn + Cafe

Should be a fun weekend!

We all know someone who can't stay on the marked trail. Please, tell them, stay on the 🤬 marked trail.

The new Maine Snowmobile Association Trail Map APP is pretty dang nice!

All of our trails have been mapped, updated and added to the app.

It's a great resource to have and use if you ride in Maine.

It's available in the App Store. Check it out!

⚠️ Trail Update ⚠️

1-20-26
Like everyone else, we are in need of snow.

ITS 85 and 82 are groomed and rideable but there's only about 2" of powered dust on top of solid ice.

The Charleston trail was groomed last night. There are multiple wet spots and mud holes.

The Gray Valley and the Dundee are in desperate need of snow. They also have multiple wet spots, mud holes and stumps.

If you do ride, please use caution. There are lots of hazards.

The only good news is the cold temps will help keep what we little snow and base we have.

Be safe, think snow.

Sorry folks...With all this rain and warm temps, grooming will be put on hold till we get more snow.

Well the weather forecast was wrong...again. We got about an inch yesterday. Not nearly the amount we were hoping for. We are grooming the ITS trails as often as the temps and conditions will allow. Our club trails still need more snow before we can start working them.

We will be having a meeting Wednesday evening Jan 14th 6:30 at our clubhouse. Any and everyone is invited to attend.

Think snow.

⚠️ ATTENTION ⚠️

There will be an active logging operation on ITS 85 just north of the Shaw Rd crossing. The logging will continue most of the winter and will only be crossing the trail in one place. Stop signs have been added in both directions. Please remember to stop at ALL stop signs.

Ride safe and think snow!

Happy Friday everyone.

Just a quick update about the trail conditions...we need snow.

The ITS trails and rail beds are in ok shape, but warm temps and rain are forecasted for this afternoon. There is more snow coming Sunday, allegedly.

The Charleston/Bear Hill and the lake trails have all been panned and cleared of trees, but they are extremely rough and full of rocks, stumps, mud holes and hazards.

We know everyone is eager to get out and ride, but we need more snow before we can start grooming on a regular basis.

Also, we are asking riders to go slow while in town between the fairgrounds and Bears Den. There are multiple residences and road crossings. So please use caution and ride accordingly while moving through the neighborhoods and streets.

Thanks and think snow!
