DF Kiwanis Charities began a program several years ago offering grants to Non-Profit organizations in our area which align with Kiwanis International and our local organization mission -- which is “Improving the world, one child and one community at a time”.
Attached please find a letter outlining our program - and if your non-profit fulfills this mission, please feel free to apply according to the outline of the following letter. Application forms available on our website - dfkiwanischarities.org or email the following for one sent to you via e-mail or usps.

Dear Local Service Organization:
The Mission of Kiwanis International is: “Improving the world, one child and one community at a time”. The Kiwanis Club of Dover-Foxcroft and our charitable organization, the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Charities, is proud to offer an opportunity for your organization to apply for funding for local initiatives that support children in the coming twelve months. We are able to offer this support thanks to the generosity of so many people and the hard work of our members and friends over the past year in our fundraising efforts.
Rather than fielding requests for funding throughout the year, in 2019 Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis began an annual process of awarding grants to non-profit entities who are engaged in activities that align with the Kiwanis mission.
Kiwanis has established an application, an application process, a deadline, scoring criteria, and limits on the amount of funding requests/awards. Grant Application submission deadline will be August 15, 2026. No late filings will be accepted. Kiwanis has posted this grant program information on its website. It is also attached to this letter.
We will not know the full amount we will have available to fund local projects until we have completed our summer fundraiser, a Silent Auction, which is scheduled this year for July 25 at Riverfest in Guilford.
Kiwanis will be awarding grants in late September when our financial resources are known.
If your project or program occurs earlier next year, then you’ll be requesting funding for 2027 through this year’s application process.
Please review the enclosed grant application. If you feel that your non-profit organization has a strong project or program that is well-aligned with the Kiwanis mission, please apply. While we may not be able to fund all applications, we certainly want to have the opportunity to consider as many as possible. If you are not successful in receiving funding this year, we encourage you to apply in the future. Attached to this letter is the application for 2026-2027 funding. This can also be found on our website at: www.doverfoxcroftkiwanis.org.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Please email us at [email protected] if you have questions about the application process.
Sincerely,
Beth McEvoy Ruksznis, President
Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Charities
