🌟🐸Get to know our PTO!🐸🌟
Hi everyone!👋 My name is Emily Steckbauer, and I’ve been serving as your Book Fair Chair for eight years now—ever since our oldest daughter, Brynn (who is about to be a high school sophomore!), started 2nd grade. 📚✨Our sons, Connor (8th grade) and Wes (5th grade), have also grown up here at Dousman Elementary. We have absolutely loved our time within this wonderful school family, and it’s so bittersweet to believe this is our very last year! 🥹❤️When we aren’t at school, our family loves camping and exploring places near and far. Our pup, Irie, is vital cargo and tags along whenever she can! 🚐🏕️🐾Since this is my final year, I want to make sure our Book Fairs keep getting bigger and better and more exciting than ever for our students—but we can’t do it alone! We are ALWAYS looking for lovely families to join our Book Fair Committee, or even volunteer to cover a shift or two when the fairs roll around. If you love promoting literacy and want to help out, please reach out to the PTO. We would love to have you on the team! 📖🌟

🌟🐸 Week Five - Meet the Board! 🐸🌟

Hi, I’m Carolynne Saum and I’m excited to serve as the Dousman/ Explore Secretary. I have a 3rd grader and a 5th grader and this is our 2nd year at Dousman. I love being involved and helping create a space where families feel welcomed, supported, and connected. One of my goals this year is to help bring a brand‑new school store to life for all students, giving them a fun place to explore school spirit items and small essentials. Please know that I’m always happy to answer questions, listen to ideas, or help you get involved in PTO activities. Whether you’re new to the school or have been here for years, your voice and participation matter. I’m looking forward to a great year together and can’t wait to meet more of our wonderful families.

Hello Dousman Elementary and KM Explore Families,

I’m excited to introduce myself! My name is Michelle Tayler, and I am honored to serve as one of the Treasurers for the Dousman Elementary and KM Explore PTO this year.

My family has been part of the Kettle Moraine community for several years. I have two children in the district—one who attends KM Middle School and another who will be joining Dousman Elementary this fall after attending Magee Elementary, where she will be entering 4th grade.

I love being involved in our schools because I believe every child deserves opportunities to learn, grow, and create lasting memories while having fun. I also believe our teachers and staff deserve tremendous appreciation for the care, dedication, and countless hours they invest in educating and shaping the next generation.

Outside of the PTO, I work full-time, serve on several volunteer boards, and, like many of you, spend most evenings and weekends as my kids’ chauffeur—running between overlapping sports practices, games, and other activities!

I’m looking forward to working alongside our amazing PTO team to continue building on the wonderful traditions already in place while helping create new opportunities for all of our Dousman Elementary and KM Explore students, staff, and families. I can’t wait to meet any of you that don’t know me already 😊

🌟💚🐸Week 3 - Meet the Board🐸💚🌟

Hello,
I’m Michelle Schneider, your Dousman/Explore PTO treasurer. 💰
I have four children, Nick (29) lives in Minneapolis MN ;Caitlin (27) lives in Arlington VA; Cara (14) will be a freshman at KM and Griffin (6) starting 5K this fall.
The role of treasurer is new to me but I welcome the opportunity to be part of out PTO. I have been part of the book fair 📚committee for the last several years and I am the Health Room Assistant😷🤕 at Dousman going on my 6th year.
I look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting the new family’s coming to Dousman this year.

🌟🐸 Week Two - Meet the Board! 🐸🌟

Good morning,

I'm Amanda Herbst your Dousman/Explore Elementary PTO Vice President for 2026-27 school year.

This is our second year at Dousman. I have one son going into first grade on the Dousman side. I also work at the school as one of the recess supervisors. Family photo taken at Camp Nelson, Kentucky summer 2026.

Whether you're new to our school or simply returning, a very warm welcome from the bottom of my heart. I personally look forward to seeing your children out on the playground and meeting more of you all at our public meetings and events. 🌟🐸 Meet the Board! 🐸🌟

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm Emily Mundschau, and I'm so excited to introduce myself as your new Dousman/Explore PTO President! 💚🐸

I have three amazing kiddos—one starting 5K this fall (cue the happy tears 😭), a newly turned 2-year-old who keeps me on my toes, and a sweet 1.5-month-old who still thinks sleeping is optional. 😅 Needless to say... coffee is one of my favorite food groups these days!

Last year I served as the Magee PTO Treasurer, and my family is so excited to officially become Bullfrogs this year! I absolutely love bringing people together, creating fun experiences for our students and staff, and finding new ways to make our school community even more amazing.

Whether you have a question, an idea, a concern, or just want to say hi, please don't hesitate to reach out! I'd love to meet as many families as possible this year.
