ASCEND: Lead Together. Rise Together. ✨

This weekend, the Junior League of Douglas County Board came together for our annual Board Retreat - reconnecting, refocusing, and laying the foundation for an impactful League year ahead.

Together, we’re setting the vision, strengthening our leadership, and preparing to elevate the work we do for our community. Because when we lead together, we rise together. ❤️🖤

Here’s to a year of purpose, impact, growth, and ASCENDING - together! 🚀

Georgia’s Junior League Presidents, Connected.

What happens when League Presidents from across Georgia have an opportunity to sit at the "same table" to share what is happening in their communities, and begin thinking about what we can accomplish together?

Connection becomes collaboration.

This weekend, the Junior Leagues of Georgia State Public Affairs Committee welcomed League Presidents from across the state for our 2026 President’s Breakfast, hosted in conjunction with GA S**C Leadership Day.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Scarlett Pressley-Brown as our featured speaker. Dr. Brown challenged and encouraged our Presidents around leadership, connection, and the power of women supporting women in their work and service. Her message helped set the tone for a morning centered not simply on leading individual Leagues, but on recognizing the strength we have when leaders across Georgia are connected to one another.

Through stronger connections between League Presidents, GA S**C Delegates, and the statewide S**C network, we have an opportunity to create a continuous exchange of information. Local priorities can inform statewide conversations, statewide resources can strengthen local work, and successful ideas from one League can become a resource for another.

One of the most exciting conversations of the morning centered on our developing Georgia League Mapping Project, a centralized way to better understand what our Leagues are doing across the state, including community projects, advocacy priorities, partnerships, and areas of impact.

Imagine being able to see that another Georgia League has successfully tackled an issue your League is exploring and being able to call that President and ask:

“How did you do it? Who did you partner with? What did you learn?”

That is the kind of connection we want to build.

The enthusiasm, ideas, and support around the table made one thing very clear: there is tremendous value in bringing Georgia’s League Presidents together.

A special thank you to Anna Gibson, President of the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta, for welcoming us, and to every President who joined us and contributed so thoughtfully to the conversation.

This conversation is just getting started. We look forward to creating additional opportunities for Georgia’s League Presidents to connect, exchange ideas, support one another, and strengthen the bridge between our local Leagues and GA S**C.

Fourteen Leagues. One statewide network. Stronger when we work together.
