Junior League Douglas County is excited to announce the EXPANSION of our impact through “Step Up for Students.”

This back-to-school drive builds on our mission to help students feel confident, prepared, and ready to learn by providing another essential need - new shoes for local students.

We are collecting:
• New shoes (all youth sizes welcome)
• Student sponsorships, for new pairs of shoes
• School supplies (books, paper, pens, pencils)
• Bookbags

Donations can also be dropped off in person at Farmer’s Table on June 18th from 6:30 PM–8:30 PM.

To donate electronically, please send via Zelle or PayPal to: [email protected] and include your name and “Step Up Drive” in the memo line by July 1, 2026.

✨ Thank You Junior League of Columbus for hosting a Successful 2026 Junior Leagues of Georgia State Public Affairs Committee Spring/Summer Conference! ✨

Our S**C Committee Tokiwa Smith and Tai Cochran enjoyed the meaningful opportunity to learn, connect, and grow together. They are grateful for the relationships built this weekend and look forward to continuing the important work of public affairs and community impact across Georgia. ❤️🖤

🇺🇸ELECTION REMINDER: The Primary Run-Off Election is Tuesday, June 16th.

Advance voting takes place Monday, June 8 through Friday, June 12, from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM at the following locations:

Douglas County Courthouse
Deer Lick Park
Dog River Library
Lithia Springs Senior Center

The Junior League of Douglas County was honored to attend the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner in April, recognizing the incredible work completed in partnership with Keep Douglasville Beautiful during the 2025–2026 League year under the leadership of Dr. Melisha Plummer. 💚🌎

Throughout the year, our members proudly coordinated and participated in highway cleanups, helping keep our community beautiful, safe, and welcoming for all. 🚮🛣️💪

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and energy to make a difference. Service is at the heart of what we do, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to give back.

Stay tuned for details on future cleanup events as we kick off the next League year this Fall! We’d love to have you join us in making an impact. 🍂✨

Congrats to our JLDC Sisters Dr. Meda Rollins (Former President), Kupae Joe (Former President) and Tai Cochran on completing the Leadership Douglas program.

Congratulations to the Leadership Douglas Class of 2026! 🎓

Over the past eleven months, this incredible group of leaders dedicated their time to learning more about Douglas County, building meaningful connections, and giving back to the community through service and collaboration.

From engaging with local leaders and organizations to completing a class project that made a lasting impact across Douglas County, the Class of 2026 truly embodied the spirit of leadership and community.

We are proud to celebrate each graduate and look forward to seeing how they continue to lead, serve, and make a difference throughout our community.

Congratulations to our JLDC Sister and former President Kupae Joe on her recent graduation from the Leadership Douglas Program Class of 2026 and receiving the program MVP award!

Leadership Douglas is a 10-month professional and community development program run by the Douglas County Chamber Foundation in Douglasville, Georgia. It assembles professionals to build their networks, enhance leadership skills, and explore the region’s economy and infrastructure.
