BullyWag, Inc.

BullyWag, Inc. Decreasing the euthanasia rate of bully breeds. We have come across hundreds of dogs, who, given the opportunity, would make exceptional pets.

Goals:

Our biggest concern is the unnecessary killing by animal facilities of bully breeds, as well as, all homeless dog breeds because of a lack of space. A growing concern of ours is the surrendering of family pets to kill facilities and the abandonment of pets. Before choosing to do either, consider the following...

* this is a family member
* this is a friend
* they have uncondit

ional love
* they only want to please
* they depend on you
* you are ultimately killing them

Animal overpopulation throughout the U.S. could be drastically reduced by turning irresponsible owners into responsible owners or by holding those bad owners accountable for their actions. Backyard breeding must stop. Batch breeding must stop. Only qualified individuals should oversee and set breeding standards to avoid in-breeding and other unfortunate circumstances. Vision:

Pit pride will prevail against all of those owners who abuse their pits (in one way or another) and will lead to positive pit press, again. We, the true dog lovers, must expose the criminal riff-raff who continue to participate in illegal and irresponsible acts and those who mis-handle and mis-treat our precious pits. There are many organizations dedicated to restoring the pit bull image, we are one example. Although pit bulls have advocates everywhere, one negative event will stand out more in society's mind, requiring at least ten positive events to reverse the damage. It is an uphill struggle and we all have pledged our heart and soul for our love of the American Staffordshire Terrier and the American Pit Bull Terrier. If you are unable to adopt a pit, please consider fostering a pit, or, at the very least, sponsor or make a donation to support a pit or pits.

Update 6/15 evening- Precious is still not eating. The pancreas values have gone up and the kidney values are around the same. She was tested for Leptospirosis but this was negative. She continues on fluids and they will add an injection that will hopefully help the Pancreas values to go down. We are hoping she doesn't have Hereditary Kidney Disease. We will know more in the morning.

Update Monday, 6/15 - Precious still not eating, no vomiting or diarrhea. Kidney values haven't changed. Still on fluids. Please continue prayers.
Update Sunday 6/14.
Precious is doing better today. No vomiting but still not ready to eat. Her previous owner texted me and said no way to antifreeze or humans heart meds.
This sweet girl joined our rescue family yesterday 6/12. Precious is a 10 month old unspayed Shih Tzu Mix female that weighs 12.6 lbs.
We received a call from her 91 yr old owner that had gotten her at 2 months old from in front of Walmart in Villa Rica. Precious wasn't feeling well. She had taken her to the vet multiple times but she wasn't getting better. She was having periodic vomiting, occasional diarrhea, and not wanting to eat and when she did try to eat a little it wouldn't stay down. She has been vaccinated so no worry about Parvo.
We took her to Price Creek Animal Hospital in Bremen this afternoon for x-rays (for possible blockage), bloodwork, fluids, and a Cerenia Injection to see what was causing all the tummy upsets.
Thankfully, no blockage however Dr. Hatchett said we have a very sick girl. Her bloodwork values especially concerning her kidneys and pancreas are off the charts. I sent a text to her previous owner at 6:33pm to see if Precious could have gotten into any human heart meds or antifreeze since she is a puppy Hoover. No response yet.
Please say prayers for this sweet girl with an adorable under bite that the fluids and other meds being given tonight will help those values to be more normal tomorrow.
If you would like to donate towards her care you can call Price Creek direct on Monday at 770-537-6705, our Zelle or PayPal is [email protected] or Cashapp is $BullyWaginc.
Thank you.

Looking for a temporary foster for Bernie in the Fayette/Coweta area while his foster family is out of town. Needed for Tue late afternoon 6/16-Sun 6/21 and/or Wed 6/24 late afternoon - Tue 6/30. He is great with other dogs. Not a mean bone in his body. He loves running, fetch, playing with toys and kissing other dogs. Fenced yard is a plus and someone home enough so he isn't crated all day.

Crate (he is quiet at night) and food is provided. He is 10 months old and mostly house trained if taken out frequently. He is neutered, microchip and up to date on shots and on monthly heartworm.

Email if you can help out - [email protected]. We could set up a meet and greet.

Update 6/15 on Draco. Checked in with his owner. He's doing very well after surgery. The vet said that the amount of muscle he has is what saved his life. He is so strong and healing quickly. She discussed payment options and Lifeline said she could pay what she could but that this would not stop them from moving forward with the treatment/surgery he needed. Lifeline requested she write the story on their site about what happened to him so they could get donations. If you're still considering donating towards Draco's balance donate directly to Lifeline and make a notation that the donation is for Draco. There may even be a post on their site.

Update 06/11 Draco was picked up.today and current pictures are attached. He goes back tomorrow for a check up and bandage change. At this time I don't believe any donations are needed but have asked if anything is owed for the services provided for Draco.

Update from Draco's owner at 2:10pm on Wednesday, 6/10.Dropped him off and they immediately sedated him so they can flush the wound and get x-rays. They told me to go home because it's gonna take a while and they're gonna call me with an update.

Update 06/10- I texted with Draco's owner this morning, He is on his way to Lifeline because he needs more attention. She will keep me posted. Continues prayers please.

I received a call this morning from a lady in Palmetto. Her dog was at SAVES in Fayetteville due to the dog being shot by a police officer. The quote pre-surgery was close to $4,700.
The bullet just missed the dog's heart but must have passed through since it wasn't in his body.
This is the information I have about what occurred.
Apparently the family's 7 yr old child was sleeping with them and the Dad got up and went to a separate bedroom. The child woke up went out of the house and over to a neighbor's house. This was around 4am. The neighbors know about the family.pet and tried to call the child's Mom but her phone was on silence. The Mom woke up after hearing Draco scratching at the bedroom door and barking. She opened the bedroom door and realized the back door was wide open so the dog ran out. Two police officers were coming out of her garage and a 3rd officer was in the backyard. He said get your dog. The lady asked, "What are you guys doing here?" "I will get him and he's never bitten anyone but don't move," and before she could step off the porch he shot Draco in the chest. The dog was only barking and not lunging.
The dog lay there shot for over 2 hours because animal control couldn't get there. The owner's decided to get their dog some medical help and planned to put Draco in their car but the officer that shot Draco told the owners you can't take the dog but the supervisor told the officer to let them take the dog because animal control couldn't get there. They drove him to SAVES because Union City was on pause taking anymore pets until around 9:30 due to being short staffed. This family has no extra money and their CareCredit is maxed out.
BullyWag paid the balance at SAVES so they could pickup Draco. All Draco is on right now is pain meds but she will ask for antibiotics too. She will contact Lifeline at 9am tomorrow and hopefully they can see Draco and do xrays, flush the wound, and help this beloved pet on his way to recovering. She will keep me posted.
The officers were wearing body cams so there is an active investigation going on.
Say prayers for Draco. He is 4 yrs old, a much loved inside dog that they've had since he was 6 weeks old.

Happy Tails.
I got a text this weekend from a lady that adopted one of my foster dogs. She said "Dax is now 6. He's a great dog! Thank you for saving him so that he could rescue me! My life is forever changed. This is Dax right this second. He's hanging out with me on my bed watching tv. He loves tv too!!"

Thank you for giving Dax a wonderful and loving home.

We love getting updates on our BullyWag dogs.
