Monday, August 24th marked another important step for IWA. 💚

Our National President Deborah Dein Abbey along with some IWA sisters & PHC representatives visited Government Girls Secondary School, Ngo, for a successful inspection of the site for our proposed 6-classroom block.

For us, this is bigger than a building. It is about giving the next generation a better place to learn, dream, and prepare for their future. Education matters, and IWA is determined to make a difference.

This is a project we should all see ourselves in. Together, we can build something that will impact young lives for generations. 📚💚

We are saddened and full of tears. With heavy hearts, Ijaw Women of America Inc. mourns the passing of Barakumo Solomon Odede, a valued liaison and supporter of IWA in Nigeria.

We are grateful for his service and contributions to our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.

🎉💚❤️💙 TWO COMMUNITY OUTREACHES IN ONE DAY! EAST COAST OYEEEEEEE! 🙌🏾🔥

The Ijaw Women of America – East Coast Chapter proudly completed two community service outreaches in New Jersey!

From volunteering at Variety Food Market in Trenton to serving at the City of Trenton Public Swimming Pool, our sisters showed up with energy, love, and a heart for service. ❤️

Two outreaches. One day. One mission. One IWA! 🌊

This is community engagement in action—giving back, supporting local businesses, serving our neighbors, and strengthening the communities we call home.
